Specialized hospital

My mother was transferred on Saturday. No matron or physio in and attendance so all the good work done by the professionals at Union Hospital is now out the window. I asked to have a manager contact me, and as expected, nobody has bothered. They don't provide the patients with proper nourishment. Supper is served cold at 17h20 and the patient's next meal is at 08h:20 (a 15 hour period between meals). Meals completely exclude juice, bread/biscuit bread, yoghurt. My mother now has diarrhea but the staff tell me they don't have anything to give her. They also haven't been giving her, her chronic medication and cannot give me an explanation. They also won't give nappies when the medical aid has authorized this. You get conflicting reports - depending on which staff member you ask, you get a different answer... and the list goes on. I now understand why they have chosen the highly impractical visiting hours they have! I shudder to think what goes on there...I would advise anyone who is told that this place is marvelous (as I was led to believe), to rethink their decision very carefully. I certainly would not recommend them by a long shot...

Absolute worse experience. The front lady that I talked to yesterday was not very polite and when I arrived for my appointment she failed to actually put my name on the system for my appointment. Paperwork that was needed today was never mentioned to me when I booked yesterday. How can you work like this? I'm new in PE and everyone likes to make fun of Bloemfontein, but atleast here you aren't treated like a dog. Will never recommend this place.

I really think the specialists and nursing staff here are great, but administration is a mess. It’s been 2 months since I’ve given birth to my son, and we still don’t have the correct hospital bill, despite countless checks and follow ups on our part. Our medical aid statement is a mess due to this, and their incorrect authorisations, and we have not yet been able to submit our claim to gap cover. We only have a month left to do so. I’ve heard of others who have missed this 3 month claim window with their gap cover due to these issues. Absolutely shocking for a private sector hospital.

Had a tooth filling. Was charged R1000 plus. After two days the filling came loose and fell out. When contacted the dentist i was informed by reception that i have to pay again for a new filling

This is by far the worst hospital I have ever experienced. (Peglarae)My 2 year old son was admitted in the pediatric ward (ward I). The nurses refuse to bath the children saying it is the responsibility of the parent/s or guardian to do so. I was woken up at around 00:00 to administer nebulizer for my son. I mean what nonsense is that!!! Might as well let them go home and let parents do everything they get paid to do.The Night shift staff, on a daily basis, report to duty and make a hell of noise from the time they arrive till knock of time. This evening at 3am, they were playing music from one's cellphone and singing along. They scream across the rooms to communicate with each other, Tsholofelo being the loudest of them all.The toilets smell like a public toilets. I honestly don't understand why this is still a private hospital as there standard is as good as a public hospital. I wouldn't recommend it it anyone.The staff is rude!!!! With that being said, there will always be one or two who hold the flag high regardless of the rotten apples around them, Thank you Agent, Matozi and a few other day Staff members who's names I can't recall. Keep up the good work and do not conform to mediocre standards of your other colleagues.

All I can say is thank you. My Fiance went in and the nurses took so well care of him in ICU and Cardio Ward. They made him feel so at home, and they showed so much care and understanding. Especially Nurse Ramona, she deserves a raise. Thank you so much for the kindness and the professionalism showed.

Really impressed by the hospital. Everyone is friendly, from the cleaners right through to nurses and reception. They were very helpful. Very clean. Worth using this hospital. Should i need to choose a hospital again, this will be my preference. Thank you.

WHAT IS HAPPENING AT THIS HOSPITAL??? Why do people have to sit and WAIT For 6 HOURS Before Being Seen !!! Then, Again You have to WAIT Because, Now there is Only ONE Doctor to see you!!! Absolutely Not Acceptable, Especially From COSMOS Hospital. It breaks my Heart. Supposedly the BEST.... But Now Falling Apart.

The best Hospital and the most friendly staff ever. The never goes n minute by when there are no staff in your room. Thank you Cure Hospital Wilgeheuwel.
