In January this year my medical aid authorised a 7-day step-down stay for post-operative care following knee-replacement surgery.However, within hours of admission, I had serious reservations about the competency of this facility to aid my recovery (a confused response from staff as to the medication I required; a disregard for sanitation, with a large container of hazardous biological waste material in the bathroom opening into the ward with no extractor fan or ventilation; the occupational therapist who hounded me for treatment I didn't need or want).I resolved to discharge myself there and then. Not possible"

I applied for my status report for BHF purposes on the 2nd of Feb and was told that I would receive it within 45 days. Numerous calls and emails later and still no response.

Ingrid is the right therapist for me. Her approach to a holistic therapy really impresses me. I thought I know what I need as I booked my first Reiki appointment with her but within minutes, she figured out why I really came and we started the EMDR therapy. I trusted her immediately and we moved through the pain together. Although I only had a couple sessions, I can say that it has a very positive impact on my overall feeling. I feel more empowered, relaxed and know how to release fear when it comes up again.After some sessions of EMDR, we decided that it’s a good time to do a Reiki session. I have done Reiki before but Ingrid’s Reiki is so much more powerful. I was very impressed how she picked up on things that I have never told her. I walked out with a clear focus and emotions were released that I have suppressed for a long time. I can only recommend Ingrid to the community. Her flexibility in therapy methods made this experience far from what I have been exposed to and I am so grateful that I found her in my neighborhood.

The Tiny Room has been a great help to my teens - we had recently moved to a new town, and these 'chat sessions' helped them better deal with frustrations related to that and being a teenager in general. I was very impressed that they were covering important issues we were dealing with in the home, which we as parents had not mentioned. I find that my kids now have more resilience, and are better able to manage frustrations
