Tyger Valley Clinic
Being admitted to this place after experiencing mental health issues was the best thing that has ever happened to me. The constant care from therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, and other staff made me feel very cared for and safe. The place has very reasonable rules, high quality care and has made a dramatic impact in the quality of my life. I would go back in a heart-beat if required.

Food is inedible and nursing staff are biased and cruel to patients. There are better institutions to go to for real help. The environment is toxic. I've never been so disrespected as a patient at a private hospital. I'm honestly sorry I came here. You basically have more problems and stress from entering here than anything else. Their complaint system is also flawed. The nursing staff don't uphold the rules you're given, yet you're expected to. Worst hospital imaginable. Honestly speaking.

My experience at Vista was very unpleasant. Service was poor all round except for the food. Food was amazing. I feel the staff was not trained enough to handle people with a mental illness. There was not enough guidance as to how to guide patience through this horrible jouney.

Only been as a visitor but from my experience it is a wonderful facility. Staff are amazing & so friendly. Very well equipped, but definitely could do with a garden or resident pet.

What was once a primitive fort erected in 1843 and occupied by troops till 1914. In 1918 it was handed over to union government for use as a Mental hospital.

Oatlands Care Centre
Excellent psychiatric care and the food is awesome. Very practical lectures by some of the best psychologists in SA and personal care for each patient. 2 patients per ward. Catering staff just won a best catering unit award from Capitol Catering. Staff nurses have a great sense of humour.
