Social security office

It was horrible was there from 4am the morning I came for an appointment cause I saw the Dr already. Lady came out took all people's IDs who hasn't seen the Dr but needs an appointment for the sassa Dr. They gave the ones who didn't see the sassa Dr a date and return to sassa office appointment. Then they called us who already saw the sassa Dr and told us we must stay or come again cause they only have dates for February and we saw the Dr October so there's no point unless we stay or come everyday and they might see if they can squeeze us in. They don't even listen to the people and have attitudes. I was there from 4am people much earlier than me also and they told us this info at 12pm I stayed till 2pm but left cause fell ill so my husband brought me home. I feel their worth ethic is wrong and they purposely work slow so they don't have to see a lot of people to send them home. They inconsiderate of peoples health, on pockets or petrol. I find it a horrible amount of people they serve as well. Disgusted some people have to pay for Dr's again to see them. Very ANGRY.

25 Aug 2.30 We went to the sassa office and got an APPOINTMENT for 01 August. YOU HAVE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.ONLY GO ON THE RELEVANT APPOINTMENT DAY.Arrived 7.30. Got to the front door by 8.40. Then there was a long wait. Got inside by 10.30. The queue inside took long, but the actual paperwork was quick. Out just after 1. Then a long wait for confirmation. All done by 2.45.If they finish the appointments for that day; they do take people who arrive without an appointment. But be prepared that it may take more than one visit.It was was not the nightmare I had been expecting. They've been doing this for ages, know the ropes and are efficient as one can expect from any gov dept. Best advice: Just go.Do what they ask, when they ask.Be nice - and it you'll be fine ☝

Service was better then my last application. They seem to have a system going that helps the flow of the application process.

When I walked in there I thought I walked into hell itself.Spending the day there I soon realized that the public creates this hell.Money is a powerfull thing you cant do without.It can make or break you.Thanks to Dion..you are extremely competent. Also Adelle thats running around trying to keep everyone happy and updated. Also thankyou to the man from Africa". You are all very competent and I dont know how you cope...day in and day out.To the public...check what documents you need. The phone number given in the internet is incorrect. Any other number you try is either incorrect or doesnt get answered. Typical Government institution.

You cant get through to the office landline.My dad was there a month ago and was encouraged to receive his monthly pension in his bank account. We filled in the forms at the bank took it back and said that the documents will be processed by the Friday. This morning his money was not paid into his account.

Can't give you less than a star... its what you deserve. My 83 year old mother has been there since the beginning of April to sort out her pension that was stolen from her card and again today has been given the run around. Service is non existence, always given wrong forms and sent from place to place and still nothing has been sorted. What is going 9n? Why don't the employees know their job and what is required? Why do the pensioners have long ques for days? Why are you always offline? People are relying on their pension and can not live without. Why is this taking so long to sort out your mess???? Disgusting!!!!!

Terrible service. Cheeky and racist staff. Hope I never have to go back.. They don't appreciate their jobs and some of wish we had jobs!!!
