These guys take incompetence to another level! After taking my Gwm Steed in to have a starter problem looked at last month, it has taken them about a month to get warranty cover approval and then inform me that they cannot get hold of the necessary parts and cant give me a time frame as to when this issue will be resolved! The biggest problem with these guys is the lack of communication!!!I have had to phone them at each and every point! To remind them 4 times about warranty approval! To remind them of ordering parts! They take down your number as if to ensure that they will never call you to give feedback or any information!I am truly annoyed!!!!

Note you need to pay R1200 for their service centre to look at your car and diagnose the problem/quote you. You dont get it back if you accept the quote. Their staff are efficient, friendly, helpful and they are quick to respond but the quote was more than double of what other service centres charged.

i have been bitterly disapointed in recent weeks by the so called service in the service department.--Williams Hunt @ Fourways.over the last twelve months excluding the lock-down period i have had to recall my vehicle to the service department for issues arising from the installation of various parts --were the constant recalls i have made HAVE NOT been resolved and it appears that i must accept these faults as being of a minor nature,-and just pay up and smile. My vehicle - a 2014 opel Astra Cosmo has in this period cost more than R80.000 which is just short of the trade in value of the car.the car was bought and serviced at Williams Hunt over the six year period the model has since been discontinued --but the relevance of that should not be that the acceptance of its condition as the fault could not be sucessfuly found should not be the service that can be described as the best offered by the dealership.--Under stress by this inaction i will seek confidence in other service dealers for a resolution to my vehicles problems.

Don’t take your Subaru to Thorpe for a repair. Trust me. Friendly enough, but that’s all I can say. This experience cost us time and money and basically damaged our car. Stick to companies who specialise in Subaru.

Extremely overpriced, R800 for 2 rubber seals for a clutch pipe. Seals not available at after market shops, therefore I feel they are increasing prices because nobody else has them available.

I don’t even know where to start…in SUMMAY: 1000km after Subaru Cape Town’s 4th attempt to fix a timing chain cover leak on my (almost new) car, it ran a bearing.I called the Subaru’s 24/7 “ASSIST” number multiple times with no response – after sending off a few mails I finally managed to get them to collect my car. Granted, it was the 28th of December and most people were probably on holiday, HOWEVER you would expect this to be the most important time for them to be on standby offering assistance to families travelling etc.During the entire time my car was in their hands, I wouldn’t even get so much as an update. I would have to contact them and ask “So what’s happening with my car” and each time it would be something else, promises made, service managers telling me I shouldn’t have involved their JHB office in the whole process since “it compromised the warranty claim” and making me feel like I should be grateful that I at least got given a courtesy car to drive around.2 AND A HALF MONTH LATER, I get my car back - there-after it goes back multiple time, with coolant leaking everywhere, oil and PETROL leaking all over the place.TIP to management, take it or leave it: Keep at least 1 short block in the country stock to avoid ordering from Japan and having to make the client wait. When an engine/short block replacement is nearing completion, get all the documentation together to avoid have the client wait an additional week on top of his 2+ month wait for his/her car. Don’t finish the car and then take a week to “get documentation together” for the changing of the engine number. This process usually takes 1-2 days!I will never be buying another Subaru from this dealership (my family and I have bought 4 cars from them in the past) – we should have stopped dealing with them sooner. They managed to botch up a short block install on my father’s 2003 WRX as well, but that’s another story…If anyone wants to see videos of 95 Unleaded fuel bubbling up out of my injectors all over my engine after I got my car back from these people, give me a shout.
