Waiting area Is good with wifi but the last two times I went there waited for most of the day to get bakkie serviced while people came and went

Visited Meyers Motors as a service provider to them rather than a client. If the level of help that I received is anything to go by, as a client you can expect good things. The venue is also very neat, clean and all organised with the varying vehicle brands well situated and each is under their own roof.

Took my vehicle in for a minor service. Came back with check engine light on. The mechanic forgot to reconnect the MAS. Then when he reset the check engine light, the parking sensors are not working. I took the car in in perfect working condition, now they want me pay an additional R10k to fix the parking sensors. Not very helpful.It’s a pity because I actually rated Meyers very highly prior to this.

An Opel service horror show. Two dealers in the Eastern Cape (EL and Gqeberha) cannot fix a fairly common and recurring rear light cluster issue on an Astra K because of lack of parts at workshops. Another contributing factor is lack of proper diagnostic skills or knowledge sharing across different Opel service centers despite marketing themselves as Opel service experts. I would expect more resources and coordination to be given to an issue that is actually a safety concern for all Astra K cars. Being unable to indicate or switch on hazards is a danger to other road users. The Opel/Stellantis head office should be issuing a nationwide recall for Astra K cars to remedy the issue properly free of charge to all owners.
