Nice relaxing place for a short visit. There are some interesting animals to see here but it would be better if the cages were more photo-friendly so you could take clear photos of the animals. The crocodile exhibit is definitely one of the highlights - don't miss it! There is also a restaurant here and small shops selling a variety of interesting items. The staff didn't seem particularly friendly. We enjoyed our visit here but it wasn't very long. It's really cheap to enter - well worth the small amount of money we spent!

Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary
It was amazing to see these animals. We were there just before feeding time and the big cats was walking up and down the fence. It was exhilarating to hear the roars of the big cats. One doesn't realise how big these animals truly are. The animals are well fed and looked after.There are information boards at each cage, some of the animals are under veterinary supervision.There is an option to take a guide with you.They are also busy with upgrades and there are a few figures coming to the sanctuary in July.

The Lion Park
The place is very run down and you can't even get too the lions properly too see them. There is not even boards on all the cages to see wat animals are on the cages. The animals looks a bit sad. There is quite a few empty cages with no animals. Entry was R50 for children And R 60 for adults.The play area is good for nothing and the braai and picnic area is very run down broken tables are just left there and not even removed.All the camps are overgrown with weeds and grass.Hope they do some serious maintenance on the place soon.What a waste of time and money

Hartbeespoort Dam Snake and Animal Park
It's an entertaining stop for the kids in Hartees. The animal enclosures are well curated and the animals are well looked after. It's not a large facility, so you can see everything in detail in less than an hour. Parking can be an issue, but there are lots of relatively friendly car guards outside that will help you park outside the bounds of the zoo. They have a mid day show with a seal and some live snakes. Make sure to take some drinks before you sit. The zoo also is the point for the water sports.

The Royal Madikwe Luxury Safari Villas
Certainly the best hotel I've ever been. Since the check-in until the checkout, everyone treat us like kings and queens. Kevin was perfect as ranger, driving us to watch big5 and teaching us about the animals. And Simonee, Eva and all the staff made us feel at home and extremely comfortable. I love it and recommend.

Went with the family, the staff there is amazing ... Got a good deal with a car & the guide got to see the animals in their natural habitat ... A great experience for the family especially the kids ... It's definately amust visit

Chameleon Village Reptile & Conservation Park
What a amazing experience. Amazing animals, friendly staff. Great atmosphere with the people there. Reasonable prices for entrance. Would differently recommend.
