Website shows that they are open, we drove all the way, closed!!!!! Even restaurant, there was no chef, we could not even have coffee. Its just: sorry we are closed and will be for another two weeks. Will not bother to go again.

The park offers two tours. The first is the reptile side were you will find various types of venomous snakes and two types of lizards. Here will also have the opportunity to touch and hold a python. The guide seems a bit bored with his job whilst conveying interesting facts it is presented with no luster. The second is the lion park, where during my visit there was three female lions and a male. The guide and the male lion presented a humours interaction. During the session the lions are fed frozen chickens whilst interesting fact are conveyed in a story telling fashion.Overall a okay experience and if you have never seen lions or snakes up close it is worth a visit. Other than that the vibe of the place is not great and to visit again is not at the top of my list.

Cumberland Nature Reserve
The hike (follow the gorge sign boards) was absolutely breathtaking. The scenery and the path itself was as natural as it gets. I have never experienced such a wild and challenging hike as i did at Cumberland

Earlier this month, our son and daughter-in-law were married at your beautiful facility. Everything was magical! We stayed for a few days on the grounds before the wedding and everyone had such a delightful time. No matter the age or interest, there was something for everyone! The food was fantastic, the scenery stunning and the staff made us feel like family. Thank you!

Armadale Reptile & Wildlife Centre
The place was OK but definitely not worth the 50+$ for 2 adults and 1 child. Felt a bit ripped off. Was there for all of 30 minutes, if that. It would be worth the $ if you had a hands on experience with at least 1 animal. The lady at the desk seemed like she wanted to be somewhere else. A smile doesn't hurt anyone. There's a 'med-large' shed mostly with snakes and a few lizards and a couple of turtles, and an overcrowded fish tank. A few animals outside and some birds. It's alot smaller than I thought it would be for the price they're charging people.I truly respect the fact it would cost alot to maintain and upkeep, however it seems a little deceptive charging people a comparable rate to other places, where you can spend alot more time, have more of a hands on or upclose experience and they have alot more to offer. There's no way of understanding how small it is without paying and by then it's too late. We drove a considerable amount of time with high hopes, looked at the reviews beforehand. I suggest you find somewhere else to go for the price range, however it's worth a look if you don't mind the price.

African Dawn Wildlife Sanctuary
One of the loveliest sanctuaries I've been to in SA. Whether you're interested in birds, reptiles, buck, or small mammals, you'll find something that tickles your fancy here. We did the sanctuary walkthrough and it was well worth the money with way more to see than we were expecting. Most of the enclosures are spacious and you can see the animals are properly cared for. The menu looked a bit strange at first, but the food was genuinely great. Can't wait to come here again with my partner.
