We spent a wonderful long weekend there. The cottage was very spacious and the kitchen was particularly well equipped. The kids had a great time at the trampoline and the walks were beautiful. John was on duty and couldn't do enough to help us, even climbing on the roof to rescue a plane. We will definitely be back.

If you are like me and love to be in quite nature this place is absolutely the it. Andrew is so welcoming and warm and you can take a hike still within the area

Clean, comfortable beautiful escape in nature.We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are very nice and each have their own bathroom with a bath and shower. The reserve has two awesome trails of 1. 3km and 3.2km long to enjoy. Andrew runs the place and is a pleasant chap to deal with. Security is good!

We visited just for the Day and had a wonderful walk. The premises are Lively, and there is a variety in plants and landscapes. The owner was very helpful. A real gem this place!

What a wonderful spot. Stunning and well looked after. Serene. Safe. Clean. Breathtaking and above all, excellent bird life with wonderful views. We only did a small part of the hike and stayed at the picnic site watching birds. We had a wonderful time and Andrew was warm and welcoming. Worth the visit.

If you're looking for paradise - visit river valley nature reserve. Privately owned, it's one of the most beautiful hikes we've done in SA. A 3.2 km easy level trail with amazing scenery, very well marked. Picnic site with childrens playground, highly maintained facilities and spotless toilets. Andrew was so helpful and kind. Highly recommended!
