Japanese restaurant

I wouldn't have considered going here when driving past. But my husband decided to surprise me with something different for my birthday. And what a great place it is! Tasty food, good portions. Friendly staff, tranquil setting. Loved everything about it!

This is a wonderful restaurant with a large variety of food. The dim sum was excellent. We enjoyed our energy bowls and dessert as well. Highly recommend.

Just wow. The food was amazing. The miso was the best I have ever had. The sushi was incredibly fresh and had a perfect ratio of rice to fish. The wasabi was also super hot and genuine, as was the ginger. The mussels were flavourful and the noodles perfectly cooked. The warm sake was also divine. Lastly, the cherry blossom and sesame ice cream is a must have and rounded off the meal perfectly. You must visit! But it is quite pricey!

Had booked a table for 6 in advance during Indaba conference, when all restaurants are full. Just received a call from a guy saying that he has to cancel my reservation for medical reason". Im sure they are privatising for another company. If you lie

My favourite sushi restaurant in Cape Town. So perfect for a romantic date night! The quality of fish is some of the best I’ve had, especially the tuna. They have delicious Japanese Yuzu beer and a nice selections of wines and other hot dishes, obsessed with this place! The vibe here is cozy and relaxing, so zen. The service is also really good and the staff is friendly and efficient

Experience was somewhat different this time around. Not what we see used to. Starters, spring rolls was good, dumplings was not good, manager advised and acted on it only next visit maybe the proof. Mains waited little while but not too long. Again was average compared to previous visits. Live music wasn't vibey, singer didn't project his voice to get the patrons attention. Felt like he was singing to his gf.

Easily the best sushi in Fremantle. Serving individual pieces of sushi allows you to get a variety of different types.The owner is a great character also!

I had the pleasure of dining here with my partner in April 2023 and I wanted to give a review, which I rarely do, as it was so good.The food is truly excellent. We had something from each section of the menu and it is clear that the produce is top quality and the results are outstanding. A particular highlight was the grill (which has proper bintochan charcoal) and it was sublime - thoroughly recommend the line fish.I was slightly disappointed to see negative reviews for this restaurant. I can only give my opinion, of course, but I do not think they reflect the quality of this establishment. What I would say is that it is clear the focus here is in quality and that ultimately reflects in the (overall fair) price. I would not hesitate to go back with others, above other better well known names in Cape Town (like Fyn of La Colombe).

The restaurant week bento box was well presented and delicious but everything else on the menu was very overpriced. My son had 6 small cucumber roses with only cucumber, he didnt want mayo or anything else and it cost R90. I consumed the most expensive bottle of sparkling water which costs R90. Such a pity that establishments like this can get away with day light robbery. Time will tell how long this restaurant will last. Such a pity as the place is really beautiful and atmosphere is ambient, but I won't be going back as you can get genuine Japanese cuisine elsewhere that wont break the bank.

Wow! what an experience. Service was exceptional and food tasted delicious. The teppenyaki in front of us was something new and exciting. We made a reservation and got a great spot. The chef went the extra mile and made my friends birthday memorable! Definitely recommend this place for birthday dinners, get togethers etc.
