Garbage dump

Wasted two hours working from 6am to 8am. THEY ARE NOT OPEN!!TIMES ARE INCORRECT & MEAN NOTHING. THERE IS NO ACTUAL PERSON IN CHARGE.THERE IS NO CONTACT OR EMAIL OR ANYTHING USEFULL FROM ANYONE THERE!NO BOSS DETAILS FROM STAFF REGARDING NAMES OR NUMBERS OR HOW TO CONTACT THEM.I WAS TOLD TO GO COMPLAIN IN BELLEVILLE!..... FOR DIRT?...

Great drop off. Absolutely free. If you've just moved into a place and have loads of cardboard boxes and plastic bottles this is the place to go. They also accept furniture items and other items of recycling.Driving towards the end can look a bit sketchy as there seems to be a few delapitated hijacked buildings but the entrance to the dropoff is guarded by security guards and the whole operation is neat. The staff help you offload right away, and I noticed you can also drop off old furniture etc. Where there seems to quite a few interested refurbishers and or people looking to find some items for their own personal use.

City of Cape Town waste. Its free of charge for the public to drop off their waste there. This is a strategy to eliminate illegal dumping

Small loads are fine, guys are very helpful, mostly garden refuse,

The mismanagement of the site is on a whole different level. Endless queues, no sufficient area to dump etc etc etc and the staff couldn't care less. No wonder everyone rather just dumps in the bush or on the side of the road.

Currently closed due to Covid. However, everytime I've tried to dump here, I'm asked for a bribe or told to dump outside on the pavement. Hounded by 20-30 men who will rip items out your vehicle.When you see illegal dumping, this is why.

Staff was friendly, the site was however full so maneuvering in and out with a trailer can be a bit challenging. Overall great experience. They have dedicated tipper bins for rubble, garden and general waste.

What a joke. The dump in Lindhaven is closed. Drive to the pikitup depot on Main Reef road. they do not accepts dumping. They direct me to the landfill which, according to security is closed on a Weekend. (Saturday morning).And i used to wonder, why people dump on the roadsides.

Always a pleasure to dump there. The only problem is the street vagrants that comes in with other vehicles that stays behind in the grounds that bugs people and try to dig in the goods you are about to dump that is still on your vehicle.
