Safari and accommodation at the Motswari lodge was one of the best experiences ever. Our group of 4 friends stayed for 5 days and we enjoyed every single moment. We didn’t want to leave by the end. Everyone at Motswari was friendly, helpful, and amazing. They remembered our names and made us feel like home. Truly, they said you would leave as friends and we did.Our guide Byron and tracker Hendry were the best duo. They went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed every single drive. They made the effort to make sure weGot to see all the big 5 and got close to so many of them. We also had the best jeep crew so every drive was so fun.The food and lodging were also fantastic. Every meal delicious and dinner was at different location every night. Especially, Wednesday night was special and they kept it as a secret surprise. everything was so well done.Thank you to everyone at Motswari for an incredible time. Hopefully, we can come back and visit soon one day!

We just returned from the most epic adventure at Motswari Private Game Reserve. Jeremy (Guide) and Hendry (Trekker) provided us with an experience of a lifetime at the Greater Kruger National Park. Jeremy spent countless hours fielding our questions and providing us with insights that only the most seasoned professional could. If possible, request this duo because you will view nature like never before.Additionally, the Motswari support staff welcomed us like family - ensuring a seamless and worry-free stay. The accommodations proved exceptional, the cuisine extraordinary, and the service unequal. We now understand why so many people return, and we plan to do the same. If you're looking for a world-class vacation (holiday), Motswari Private Game Reserve is a must!

Had an excellent time here. It is truly a special place. I would highly recommend to anyone, from solo travelers to families. I came to learn that most of the staff have worked at Motswari for many years, if not several decades. Everyone I met took a very personal interest in the well-being and happiness of each guest, which I am sure reflects the values of the owners as well. It is a huge accomplishment to build a team like this and the experience reflected that. The food was exceptional - I never knew quite what to expect come dinnertime...delightful! The rooms were luxurious & clean: lounging there or at the pool was a very pleasant way to spend the mid-day siesta hours. Our guide & tracker, Sinhle & Patrick, were amazing in every way and were clearly invested in providing us with the best possible experience. I learned a ton about the ecosystem, the flora, and most of all, the fauna, from horned to fanged. Thank you, again, for the memories and best wishes!

5*s doesn’t begin to do Motswari justice. Such an incredible place. it was simply the most perfect 3 nights. Before anything else we have to give credit to every staff member, incredibly welcoming, friendly and kind.It goes without saying our driver and tracker , Megan and Lot went so much further than above and beyond I can’t put it into words. Not only are they a credit to the business but they have such a passion for the animals, the nature and genuinely making people happy. They helped create one of the most magical moments of my life and every single time we speak about it- their names come up for making it happen. Thank you Megan and Lot.The reserve setting itself is stunning, completely open with animals able to roam free in their own home. The privacy of the bungalows is amazing, we felt we could be as involved or relaxed we we wanted to be. Insanely comfortable beds, so much space, stunning bathroom and a cheeky out door shower. The food was excellent every single meal choice with so much variety flavour and love going into every dish. They were also so accommodating for dietary requirements. The drives were spectacular and the freedom the drivers had to take you around really surprised me., we got so close to the animals whilst still respecting their boundaries. It was truley breath taking. We saw so much but I won’t do any spoilers- my partner had done a Safari previously and he said you can’t even compare how much better Motswari is.Top tips:1. Take a light layer for morning and end of evening drives, each jeep has blankets and ponchos so no need to take up more suitcase space2. Don’t forget to pack a swimsuit, there’s a “watering hole “ pool in the complex which is lovely to sit beside and enjoy a Savannah beer inbetween the drives3. repellent is essential but they also provide a moisturiser with repellent in it in the room, it worked fantastically I wish I could have kept it!4. Electricity can be temperamental so take a portable charger for your phones and top it up as often as you can as sometimes there’s long spells without electric (this is the government NOT the lodge and never affected any game drive or meal)5. Water and a coffe / juice in morning and something stronger in the evening drives is provided so you never have to think about anything- their attention to detail on the little things really shows6. Speak to your drivers!! We loved learning from Megan and all her knowledge and personal stories! Also her and Lot went out of their way to find the animals we wanted to see the most!7. When you first arrive at Kruger gates, it’s about a 40 min drive to the lodge- DONT FALL ASLEEP. We did and every other guest told us about all the animals they saw on the way! We then saw so many on our way to the airport at silly AM and it was magical as the sun was rising.PRACTICAL FOR WHEN YOU ARE BOOKING:The lodge and national park close in the evenings so if you have a late flight you cannot enter after 10pm or leave before 8am so you will have to stay overnight near the airport- it’s just worth factoring in.To all the staff, behind the bar, in the kitchen, providing service and of course Megan and Lot- thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Holiday of a lifetime x

I wish I could give this place fifty stars! My wife and I had a life-changing experience here, and we would have stayed for a month if we could have. I'm not exaggerating! Our guide Wesley and our tracker Xolani were simply the best, and by the end we had a really fun group going where I was really sad to leave everyone as much as I was sad to leave the reserve. We saw all of the big five, plus so many more animals, and every game drive was a treat. The rest of the staff were a 10/10 as well. Not a bad attitude or sour face among them. The food was also excellent and our room was comfy and had everything you could need (if you're not too high-maintenance, but then again if you are then just don't go to the bush haha!).I can safely say that the only issue we had was that we had to leave. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend Mostwari Private Game Reserve. From the arrival to departure, you are greeted with smiles and treated like family. The service is wonderful, and our room was fantastic. We had an outdoor shower, which overlooked the bush and water. On several occasions, we watched baboons, elephants, impala, waterbuck, and kudo from the pool and our room. They also provided bug spray, shampoo/conditioner, shower gel/body wash, ponchos, and an umbrella. The safari experience is unforgettable. Paul and Release were fantastic. I cannot recommend them enough. We saw the big 5 on day 1, and we saw some incredible moments. Paul makes every safari trip fun, and he is very insightful. You will NOT regret staying at Mostwari. The people, experience, and value is fantastic.

My trip to Motswari was amazing. Everything was perfect. The staff and management were very friendly and professional. They were repeatedly checking with all the guests to make sure that their experiences were the best that could be arranged. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, had a great sense of humor, was a great driver on and off road and able to repeatedly find even the most difficult animals to find. The food was fantastic. My room was beautiful and very comfortable. The animals came to the watering hole at the lodge so I could just sit there pampered and watch them come to me. Amazing relaxing and educational experience. Highly recommend this lodge.

Wonderful place! Guide (Sinlehr)and Tracker (Patrick) were experienced and kind and showed us the time if our lives! The wildlife we saw was amazing everyday.Outstanding, fresh, beautiful food by Sunrise and her upbeat team was a treat every meal. Lunch was particularly enjoyable...you'll have to go to experience.Accommodations were quaint and clean. Two people per room. Ours hand a common wall with neighbor like a duplex. This wildlife reserve has no fences between itself and Kruger National Park. We saw The Big 5 plus much more. The entire staff was outstanding. I highly recommend!

We spent 4 days at the lodge & the whole experience was 10/10- from the chef’s cooking the food, to the vibes/dancing & the staff always smiling/welcoming. The game drives was unreal aswell. For me, we had the best duo in the game in Eric & Difference. When I say they know their stuff, they really know their stuff. They were engaging, giving us all the information of the different types of animals/birds etc & constantly making us laugh. They made sure we got as close to the animals as possible & had the best angles to take the best pictures. I couldnt recommend both of them highly enough (that’s if you want the best experience in the game drive). Overall, Motswari private game reserve was our #1 highlight, in the 2 weeks we spent in South Africa
