I was doing my monthly grocery shopping on 30.05.2023. I had a good experience until I had an encounter with the packer who was packing my groceries. Firstly she mixed my detergents with the food ( which is very wrong ) but I didn’t say anything regarding that issue. She then took my eggs and shoved them into a packet with other food items on top and put the packet at the BOTTOM of the trolley. I then asked her very nicely where the eggs where as I expected to see them on top or at least for her to give them to me to carry- and she blatantly replied “underneath “ in isizulu and looked away .I then asked her if the eggs won’t break as eggs are quite fragile and should be handled with care - she then replied “NO” loudly and rudely. She immediately told the teller to take the next customer while I was standing there and addressing this issue.I then asked if I could speak to a Supervisor or Manager and she pointed to the office of the Manager and continued chatting to her friend /colleague . No care whatsoever & you could tell that she didnt mind being reported. I reported the issue with the Assistant Manager & she was quite friendly and promised to address the situation with the employee.Please train your staff on how to pack groceries and also teach them good customer service! I am highly disappointed with the service I received and I have been using this grocery for the past 7 years without fail.

Cashiers dont pay attention to customers. They are instance always chatting to each other and shouting at customers if not being cheeky with bad attitude towards customers. Neither they respect its management.Merchandiser especially the males are all very friendly and useful with positive attitude.Ladies at the bakery are also the same as cashiers. They misbehave with attitude.

Good place to do your day to day shopping and pay bills. easy to get in and out. Has a filling station too.

Clean, well laid out store. Usually competitive prices and situated in an easily accessible mall with free parking. Checkers Liquor store is also there, offering a good assortment of wine from various countries. Their meat is usually well packed and good quality.

I bought a grilled full chicken and asked the assistant behind the counter if she could give me one of the chickens that were there and she rudely pointed me to the chickens that were prepacked.I then went to pick up the chicken as directed and to my surprise the chicken rotten and could not be eaten. Unfortunately I only realised that when I opened the chicken at home. I cannot recommend buying their grilled chicken or a cooked meal for that matter in this store.

I went to refill my water, and the tank was full, plus there was hardly any line. It was such a pleasure. If u need to refill your water then u won't regret a visit
