Walking into this place is like walking into Heaven. The sweet and aromatic scent of authentic sweetmeats is so enticing that I made a special trip the minute I arrived in Johannesburg, and it was my last stop 8 days later when I departed .They are well known for their Habshi Halwa which is freshly made on site. They have 3 types of Halwa. A variety of Burfee and other delectable delights.Centrally situated in the heart if Fordsburg, convenient corner location and I have always managed to find parking directly in front of the store.I carried a cooler bag to keep the treats chilled, as it's freshly made from pure ingredients and to me it has to be eaten cool.Staff are amazingly helpful and efficient.Do try their Shalimar brand rice as well.
