Having lived in Scotland for over 25 years, it is always a treat to come back to South Africa on holiday and be able to shop for fresh local produce. Food Lover's Market has an abundance of fresh vegetables, fruit, meat, nuts, and other tasty ingredients including sweet and savoury products. All at affordable prices. The amount of choice and quality of the food is absolutely outstanding. Was very reassuring to see that Covid-19 sanitisation and hygiene policies are followed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience for this foodie and I wish we had something like this in the UK. This particular visit I loved their chilli biltong and the watermelon was the best I have ever tasted!

The store may be small but you'll find everything you are looking for and it is very neat. The staff wear their uniform with pride, they are all clean and beautiful.

The people on the checkouts are never efficient; they have to be the slowest operators - very relaxed ! - of tils in any supermarket in Cape Town.One tries finding a queue that is moving faster, but then the teller there starts talking to a customer - & stops processing; then someone asks about a price & it takes forever to get someone who can reverse this or to WALK into the store to get something weighed or the article that was actually on special. Then they start the packing & chatting up the guy with the vest, body & tattoos . . . It is very frustrating & management needs a change if they cannot make the store run like a supermarket.Guys, this is fine for a 1950's green-grocer, but not for a supermarket outlet.Maybe send the tellers on training - just to visit other - even Sprite - stores ?Management might even find that they will not push away so much business to the competition if they run in a friendly, but efficiently, manner.I rather drive to Pick 'n Pay in Gabriel Rd than walk 200m to the Victoria Rd Shoprite.Higher management really needs to look at this store that requires some imagination & upgrading.

It's been a while since i received a good friendly service at a store,from the tellers to the lady who assisted me at the shelves.Pity don't have your names.Keep up the good work.To the manager we assisted last night,by climbing on the ceiling and checking if everything was fine when an alarm went off please don't hesitate to call for assistance whenever you suspect something is wrong.Thank you.

Poor customer seevice you spend 30mins in a que to pay

They sell fresh meat.And there's a chesa-nyama conveniently situated right in the yard for braaing.
