Thrive Sunnyside Wellness centre saved my life and became a safe haven. Without their care and love I wouldn't be alive. Everyone was so helpful and friendly and became friends for life. The coping skills you learn are great and a support group meet every second Saterday to help you cope in the real world. The food is great and they cater for special needs patients as well. The activities you do are fun....I learned how to loom knit, and the sessions with the team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and occupational therapists and doctors helped me to understand and manage my illness.

Sunnyside was amazing, all staff involved in creating a safe, peaceful, calm, clean and understanding environment. Was never once disappointed in anyway during my stay, its all positive. At the end its what YOU make of it. Keep up the good work.

I've been admitted on 19 of March 2023,I was so reluctant to go there because of my last bad experience I encountered there but due to my health I had no choice.This time around I've been treated very well,everyone treated me with empathy and dignity,I didn't even want to be discharged but due to family obligation I had no choice but to be discharged.Thank you.

This place did wonders for my Mom. Everyone was so nice.

I was admitted in 09/09/20.During my stay there I was diagnosed with high blood pressure. I got involved in a bad confrontation with a nurse and they asked me to leave without my high blood pressure medicine. I only realised that at home when I was about to take my night pill. They've put my life in danger, The place does nothing for patient's mental health issues it's only a money making machine.Behind the nice decor there's nothing authentic about the place especially for black patients that are scolded like children on a regular basis. Thanks for nothing Sunnyside prison.

It is with sadness that I write this review today. My mum was discharged from highcare, due to medical aid time-up reasons. She is in no state to even be in the general ward. We are on day 4 after her discharge. She only left with her pills and script. Her psycologist and social worker were shocked to learn that she is out without them being noticed. We have been trying for more than a week to get hold of her psychiatrist, without any success. It is more than a week after her brainscan, nobody can tell us the results of the scan. We have no diagnosis of what is wrong with her. We have been through hell and back the past 3 days. Nobody at Sunnyside can help when we phone. My dad, being an eldery person himself, battle to cope with the situation and with my mom. This is not like a physical illness, we have to deal with alot of emotions and sometimes it just gets too much. There were no consultation with us as a family or with my dad on discharge to tell us what to expect or how to handle her. Although the facilities are tiptop and beautiful, we are extremely dissapointed in the way we were sent off. One other point of concern would be the menu which are not diabetic friendly and needs urgent attention. To the helpfull staff and people who took good care of my mum while there, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks.

Not only are the staff amazing but so are the other patients. I'd recommend this place to anyone who needs help getting back on their feet.

What friendly staff and decor has such a calming effect. Well researched colour used through out the building.

I am currently at Health Sunnyside. And it is amazing. The staff are friendly and helpful. The therapist and the courses set out are thought provoking.The food is very nice. Coffee and tea is available and there is a vending machine.Due to COVID protocols we can't have visitors but we can video call our loved ones.I recommend Sunnyside for those who need it
