My brother bought building material based on the samples displayed in the store on 10 November 2019 and also paid R900. 00 for delivery. On the same day they delivered the material, but not the same quality we saw in the store and they were asked to return the staff. When my brother went to claim refund, including R900.00 he paid for delivery, they flatly refused to refund for R900.00. My brother and i will take up the matter with the Consumer Protection Ombudsman.The grounds for taking up the matter is that they presented false samples at the store and refused to refund R900.00 paid for delivery. It is evident that the staff in that store are highly dishonest.

I've gotten used to waiting a good few days for online sites to even dispatch the goods, so I was completely blown away when I received my goods on Monday morning after ordering on Friday! Wow - Strand hardware has completely exceeded my service expectations. Fantastic! And the hardware I bought is awesome too! :-)

Its not easy in these economic times as a CASH CUSTOMER to walk into a store and spend 80k in 3 secs, only to be treated with poor support when needed ! ARB was very happy to take my monies, but 2 days later when we had an issue, everyone looked the other way, and came up with a whole lot of excuses, not even a phone call from management to see how they can assist, ARB could have atleast , compromised on some accommodation to assist me, being a new customer. The amazing thing is the product was not even damaged ,just the incorrect product was purchased ,( sales could have atleast asked or advised me if the Product I am purchasing will work ? Thats what supposed to happen in any industry) The item was in full working condition, and it wasn’t as though I asked for a refund , just a swap of the item, but because there was huge some of monies due to me, it couldn’t be DONE .But , then again life is a learning curve for all , it’s only human to make mistakes ….we can only learn as we meet people and move on…Please close my CASH COD ACCOUNT, I will my TAKE my business to someone who cares about their customers not just a HEALTHY BANK BALANCE !!!
