Really nice drive well tarred up to the South African checkpoint, thereafter a really nice moderate 4x4 drive with brilliant vistas and a fair amount is wildlife. Great frozen waterfalls in June/July and a cozy pub at the top

Awesome experience. I would definitely recommend this but make sure you go with an experienced guide. This trail is no joke and requires off road experience. People have died here so take safety seriously. With that said it is breathtaking, an adventure and a ton to see and learn here.

Awe inspiringly beautiful sights and viewpoints. The road surface is good, and the pass is a fun drive. Definitely worth the time if you’re in the area!

Van Reenen's Pass is a *short pass* and not that difficult, or Dangerous to drive. It is however extremely busy with thousands of trucks any time of the day on the N3 (between Durban and Gauteng). It is very green and also a beautiful scenic drive.

Absolutely loathe driving through this area. There are too many trucks and they literally want to kick you off the road.

Just so beautiful. Wow. I love driving down this path anytime I come down this way I love coming past here. Calming and a beautiful drive. Nature everywhere.

En route from Pretoria to the Kruger National Park we decided to go via the Magoesbaskloof Pass as we were entering the park at one of its more northern gates. This was an excellent decision! The pass is beautiful with great scenic views as you meander down the valley, including some lookout points where you can pull over and take in the natural splendour. This is one of those slow and steady passes with sharp bends and rare opportunities for over-taking, so you might as well just enjoy the journey. It is quiet steep so when going down make sure your brakes are working optimally and going up make sure your vehicle has enough power. This is truly one of the most beautiful passes in South Africa and needs to be on your bucket list while in the Tzaneen (Limpopo) area.

Most beautiful pass with dramatic rock formation. The tar road is in an excellent condition with big rocks as a barrier on the sides. Awesome views. Loved the Leopard!" warning signs. A must drive!"

A steep winding road takes you up to the top of the Sani pass and into Lesotho, the views throughout are superb.
