En route from Pretoria to the Kruger National Park we decided to go via the Magoesbaskloof Pass as we were entering the park at one of its more northern gates. This was an excellent decision! The pass is beautiful with great scenic views as you meander down the valley, including some lookout points where you can pull over and take in the natural splendour. This is one of those slow and steady passes with sharp bends and rare opportunities for over-taking, so you might as well just enjoy the journey. It is quiet steep so when going down make sure your brakes are working optimally and going up make sure your vehicle has enough power. This is truly one of the most beautiful passes in South Africa and needs to be on your bucket list while in the Tzaneen (Limpopo) area.

Beautiful and Tough. Each day had it's own difficulties, steep ascending and Alot forest trekking. Huts have cold water. Alot of insects. Beautiful pools

Was such fun driving the Magoebaskloof pass. Best way to describe it: a perfect and harmonious waltz between you and mother nature. Each turn delivered a new surprise. Beautiful scenery... I had to keep reminding myself to keep my eyes on the road.

Always good - the pass is great to ride and the road is still in a reasonably good condition. Accommodation is plentiful in the are and in general is good to excellent.

This is really a nice place. It has that tropical rainforest feel as it's literally raining most times. The vegetation is very dense and there are a lot of plantations and natural forests. The waterfall at Debegeni was the topping on the cake, and the water is clear. The rest of the area has big cliffs, so drive carefully. On your way there, be sure to expect dense mist which reduces visibility on the road, so drive carefully. I had a nice time with my friends, Thubelihle and Dumisani. We even saw a couple from Germany that were touring the place. I am definitely going back soon enough

Always beautiful to travel through. Good road surface. Drive with caution. Especially in misty conditions. Unfortunately it is becoming a dodgy to stop at the lookout, especially if you are the only vehicle. Rather drive past.

A Must See, a delightful destination or route to Tzaneen, Phalaborwa, Polokwane. Amazing scenery, winding roads and quint little places to stop, eat and shop. Great experience, great memories.
