Sani Pass
Really nice drive well tarred up to the South African checkpoint, thereafter a really nice moderate 4x4 drive with brilliant vistas and a fair amount is wildlife. Great frozen waterfalls in June/July and a cozy pub at the top

Sani Pass
Awesome experience. I would definitely recommend this but make sure you go with an experienced guide. This trail is no joke and requires off road experience. People have died here so take safety seriously. With that said it is breathtaking, an adventure and a ton to see and learn here.

A steep winding road takes you up to the top of the Sani pass and into Lesotho, the views throughout are superb.

Sani Pass
A great adventure experience. 4 x 4 vehicle is definitely a requirement as the road is very rocky, slippery (in wet weather) and steep in places.Remember to bring along your passport as there is a border control at the foot of the pass and they stamp your passport on entry (toilet facilities available here too). The views from the pass are amazing. Unfortunately we did not make it right up to the Lesotho border post due to the amount of traffic and snow.

Sani Pass
Absolutely awesome outing, the staff at both the South Africa and Lesotho borders are friendly and pleasant to deal with. The whole of the Sani pass area offers fantastic views and a stunning array of fauna and flora, well worth the trip if you are in the area.

Sani Pass
A great walking, hiking, cycling and driving route. The section between Underburg and the SA boarder is now fully tarred and only the remainder of the route is unpaved. A technical but worthwhile drive by 4x4 to the rooftop pub.

This pass- is really awe-inspiring and worth the effort. In dry whether is it quite doable with any 4x4 with high clearance. You do not need a monster vehicle. Deflating you tyres to 1.8 bar max will be a good help.

Sani Pass
Absolutely stunning! The road up is a bit rough so you'll definitely need a 4×4.Remember you passports since it is a border crossing afterall. Warm jackets as well as it does get chilly.Bring some oxygen because the views are breathtaking.

Sani Pass
What a wonderful experience. Finally had an opportunity to go up the Pass. It was such a wonderful experience. The staff at the south African and Lesotho border post was excellent, friendly and very helpfull. Dont forget to bring tour passport to cross into lesotho and your Covid vaccination certificate. Not vaccinated dont worry, they will assist with a rapid test at the border - fast and efficient. We went up with Sani Pass tours which made the experience even better as we could enjoy going up the pass. Dont forget to stop at the beautiful church in the Lesotho side then go have your lunch at the Highest Pub in Africa.
