House & Home Westgate

House and home westgate is a scam, earlier this year I made an online laybye with R100, the following day i went to the store to pay R2000, my items were 2, it was R6000 and R25 000 which was R31 000, so after few weeks i went to the store to buy the one for R6000 cash, i saw that the laybye was still saying R31 000 but the lady who was helping me told me that she will update it later, so on black Friday i got something similar cheaper somewhere, so i decided to cancel the laybye, House and Home told me that I'm going to be charged 1% of what i paid, their 1% of 2000 is R341 mind you and for me not to be charged i must buy something in their store.. I asked them why is the R6000 still appearing because i bought them already they said someone didn't do her job.. And i asked them why am i supposed to pay for their colleague's mistake they said I'm sorry" i asked to speak to the manager. The manager refused

Mixed review as I like the shop I am disheartened by one of the sales ladies.Her name is Verlene Narain and her customer service is the worst I have experienced in a long time.After selling me a bed that was agreed upon that the shop would deliver, she would often ignore my calls when I would call asking when and what time the delivery will be.I will be coming back to the store to buy more things but I will make it a point that another sales person gets my commission and NOT Verlene Narain.

Not happy my Telefunken Tv went in for repairs under warranty. Now the remote and TV not speaking to each other. It looks like they added a different pc board in the TV. As there are now 3 hdmi connectors and it only had 2. The VGA connector gone.

The ladies by the door are not warm and welcoming they let you wonder around like a headless chicken, until a guy who was assisting a customer finished, then attended to me ,unfortunately the dishwasher with dimensions I was looking for they didn't have,I would have bought it for the sake of the service given by that guy,who went took a measuring tape and explained, thanks for his honesty..5 stars to the guy not the rest of the staff

Apalling service one of my staff bought a KIC fridge in December on the 5th stopped working after 2 weeks after about 20 calls they finally picked it up end January today is the 15th of February she still awaiting a new one absolutely shocking service!!!!

Only if there was a negative star this shop would get it. I bought a bed cash and paid for delivery. 3 days later the bed wasn't delivered when I call to enquire I learned that the bed was sold to another customer & one bothered to let me know. Its now 6 days later still no delivery. I will never set foot in this store again

I bought a Defy twin tub washing machine from Wesgate branch in the first 3months it had a power fault they send a technician to fix it after 3 months it happened again same problem once again send another technician to fix it after 3days same problem again so I requested a new washing machine they denied my reqeust after 2 weeks waiting and fighting Defy must authorize the exchange I haven't bought it from defy. On the back of the slip. 6 Month implid warranty against unsafe and defective goods. All goods found to be unsafe, or supplied with a defect will be repaired, replaced or the customer will be refunded in full, the same manner that customer will be paid in full. Still no response whatsoever. After fighting and battling with the store Sales manager They agreed to refund me but I need to wait for the store to make make that cash. Its a big joke. I've been trying to get hold of head office no luck. Customer service no luck.
