Given the state of the country you would think visiting a 'small town' branch of Home Affairs would be ulcer inducing. The opposite is true for this Port Shepstone branch. This place is more organised than most private or listed companies. A refreshing oasis of competence.

Pathetic. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Every time I come to collect my passport I end up waiting for hours and never end up getting it because the system is always offline. They don't even offer a delivery service. It reflects poorly on our country and our government. I'm honestly so fed up.

UMHLANGA MUNICIPALITY ETHEKWINI ELECTRICITY
Had an experience with the coloured lady, that works front line issues statements upon request, today before looking at my documents... She screamed and ask me to provide company documents without even looking through the documents u have handed her... Thereafter when i mentioned that the company documents are in her hand, after looking through the documents, she had realised she was wrong, but how over said oh shame n continued with work without apologizing..

On this dayy 6 April 2023 at Prospecton home affairs, I was there to collect my smart card ID. After waiting for 5 hours with no help I was told to come back on the 18 April 2023 for collection. The lady that told us to leave was very rude. She something I could not understand about this day 6 April 2023. She said this is a special day" not sure what she meant by that

It would help if there was signage at boarder posts of were to go and so forth and also what I noted is that it's the tswana speakers who have it easy here. Else the service isn't bad much. Oh and this boarder closes at 10pm and open at 6am

What a breath of fresh air compared to the horrible experience myself and my husband experienced at Port Elizabeth Home Affairs branch. The waiting time is long but I'll rather spend half my morning here than at the PE branch. The staff is friendly and you actually feel like you going somewhere as they constantly keep you posted with what's happening inside and not once did we hear the We are offline"
