Needed to pay an account. Few people. Friendly cashier. Was helpful and quick.

Always very busy Q's is long at times very affordable for many people

Not only a dirty, overcrowded shop with staff that drag their gatte but lead by a. Manager with no foresight. They failed to have stock bread that is included in a combo special and we said we'll take thr combo without the bread, and she refused to meet us halfway. Just shaking her head and dismissing us. I've been to other shoprite and one clearly gets treated as to your socio economic level in life. Disgusted with how this managers and it's staff treats their customers.

I went to Gatesville to buy a yougart that was on special. The ad clearly indicated all variants. I was told it was only the low fat variety.When I approached the manager with the ad, I felt offended by her attitude and the rude manner in which she handled the situation and if that was not upsetting enough, another elderly woman started shouting at me. This was extremely intimidating with her gangster" behaviour. This woman did not have a Shoprite uniform

Kind friendly floor staff. But the front line staff is not helpful at all. They had an old leaflet at the store entrance, and so many people were shopping with the old special and prices and they didn't offer to honour it. Even though they were handing it out the clients. The security guard encourages people to take it. Not good customer service.

A big change from a couple of years ago live the service and meeting up with old face

Major upgrades were made to this store and I love itThe place is a lot more spacious. You no longer have to stand in cramped spaces and long lines, which is great considering we have to socially distance ourselves due to the pandemic.The upgrade couldn't have come at a better time.Furthermore, their produce is great and fairly affordable.Keep your eye out for frequent specials.I'll rate it 4 stars, because I wish the cashiers were a lot more speedier, but overall it's great.It was an easy and convenient trip for me.

My mom lived for many years in Rylands and this is where we would come do her shopping.As far as Shoprites go, this is probably the worst. I say probably as I obviously haven’t shopped at all the branches.There is always a jam-up at the tills and the cashiers are by far the most unfriendly of the branches I have frequented.The floors are always dirty and I hope that now that it had been renovated that they will keep the shop a bit cleaner.Whenever we shopped here, the isle where the washing powders and other detergents are, would always have boxes on the floor of stock that needed to be packed out. So definitely not the tidiest or cleanest store.
