I rented the sony 100-400mm g master, what a spectacular lens, the delivery service by the team was also great, 100% I recommend dealing with these guys.

Africa Photographic have been great while I rented a Nikon 200-400 f4.Hilton arranged for the lens to be at a small shop local to where I would be staying and also arranged for me to drop it off at another small shop when we changed locations towards the end of our holiday. There was a charge for shipping to the first place but this was reasonable given the distance.The lens was in great condition, no optical or settings issues. It included the soft case and camo covering. It looked like they had a variety of other high spec lenses.I also asked to extend the hire by 2 days and Hilton was very accommodating. There were 4 ways to pay, including for me as an international visitor.I'll certainly be renting from them again on our next visit. Highly recommended and far far cheaper than buying and travelling with one myself.

Great service - thank you Hilton and Africa Photographic!On planning a trip travelling through Africa from Canada, and without wanting to travel with a large and heavy zoom lens, I was looking for a rental option while in the Kruger area to use during game drives - and I'm very glad I found Africa Photographic Services.Hilton was very responsive prior to my trip with any questions I had, and despite a minor mix-up after I'd landed and gone to pick up my rental, Hilton (while in the bush, driving to areas to get service so he could contact me) was quick to rectify the situation.I rented the Nikon Safari package (with the 80-400mm lens), and the equipment was in good condition, and was in a sturdy and large bag I could put my other camera + lens in, as well as other gear.The price was reasonable, and I very much appreciate Hilton's help and service. Thanks to Africa Photographic, I was able to get shots of a distant leopard and rhino, and memories that will last a lifetime. I would highly recommend!

From day 1, contacting APS from the UK was the best idea ever. I rented a lens for my safari trip and then forgot my card reader, Hilton come to the rescue and got me this to rent also. Met me at the Kruger Airport, handed me the 2 pieces of kit and off I went. Amazing communication, amazing service and the best idea ever. I highly recommend using this service. They delivered the lens to the airport I arrived at to make the experience easy for me. The quality of the lens was basically brand new. I would def use them again for services in South Africa.

My big question if I ever managed to go on safari was what lens would I need for such an epic once in a lifetime photography experience. African Photographic Rental Services was recommended by my lodge (Makanyi- highly recommend) as well as reviews I saw on Trip Advisor. I rented a Nikon 80-400 lens to go with my Nikon D750. It was a much better lens that what i owned and was very reasonable priced for the 5 days I needed it. Being able to bring just my camera body was such a huge help on a trip where we were very limited with our luggage and weight. This meant I didn't have to carry a separate camera bag. My camera body went in my carry on easily. They delivered to my hotel in Johannesburg, the day before my safaris began, and I dropped off at the airport as I left the Kruger area. Communication was very easy. I had my iphone 14pro and a sony rx100vii for the rest of my bucket list trip. Now to sort thru my 2500 pics taken on safari!! (5000 total!) LOL. Thank you. Highly recommend taking advantage of this service.

Outstanding! Expectations well and truly exceeded. Thank you so much for everything - highly personalised service (met our airport transfer on the way to the hotel - massive boost to convenience), the lens Hilton recommended was beyond brilliant. I thought I was getting great pics with my own lenses before - but they were like a pebble to a diamond in comparison. So pleased we did this for our holiday of a lifetime. Return was as simple as leaving it at reception on checkout - and they knew all about it already. But the lens - did I mention it was incredible?! Many, many thanks.
