Manor house

The room we slept in was great, no aircon but there was a fan to cool us down... The room was neatly prepared and everything was clean and organised. We enjoyed the coffee corner and the bar fridge provided.The bath/shower thing was a bit weird and the shower window did not want to stand still on the ledge of the bath, so that was inconvenient.You can see that most of the efford was put into the room where everything was beatifull and new but the bathroom was a bit out dated and the shower thing did not help to improve it..We enjoyed the breakfast room and the breakfast served... It was delightfull and delicious!!The view was absolutely superb: As you walk out onto the back porch with your fluffy pink gown in the morning the first thing you see is the beautifull fynbos in the garden and then you sit and relax on the chairs, take a sip of coffee and stare out onto the sea on the horizon...priceless!!

Decently equipped. The manager, William, was an extremely competent man with great people skills who went out of his way to help rectify an error that was made via the Lekkersllaap booking platform. We booked for a room including breakfast but this was not what Fijnbos agreed to. Anyway, William sorted out the problem and everything worked out well in the end. The only slightly negative comment is that for the price paid DSTV would be more appropriate than Openview.

The reviews for this establishment doesn't match my experience. Dated decor with lacklustre service. Our room also had a smell in it. The adjacent room's hot water supply stopped. They complained and nothing happened. I also called and eventually it was fixed. I booked for 3 nights but left after 1 night. Underwhelming and in inspiring. To their credit the shower was lovely.

This was one of the best places we stayed at during our 3 week trip through SA. The place is incredibly well managed. Quiet, clean, peaceful, great position with everything you need close by plus a wonderful place to view the penguins. Cannot recommend enough - exceptional. Also ate the best quality food in this area at a far cheaper rate than elsewhere. Loved it!

Fijnbos Lodge and spa is the nice place to visit , their rooms are clean spacious. William the Manager of the lodge he is so amazing , he is professional and caring ,I real had a good time. They also have a Spa ,ooh the lady Betsy she is a wonderful lady , Thank you so much I will definitely visit again.

Our stay at Fijnbos Lodge and Spa was n very positive experience. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Every thing we needed was in the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. We will surely return for a longer stay. Sadly our weekend was too short.

Town streets dirty

We had a previous booking but somehow when we arrived, we were unable to gain access and they never answered the phone or replied to our messages. When they got hold of us the next day thinking that we were a no show they were very sincere and apologetic about the misunderstanding and by then we were very disappointed as we drove all the way in the rain for nothing and ended up finding a hotel only late the previous evening. To our surprise they offered us a free stay at anytime convenient to us. On our arrival all was very pleasant and our room was beautiful and cozy. Its a very homely and peaceful environment and we will definitely be back. The spa was also a very nice experience.
