Love this place it's an absolute gem and really shows the capetonian culture especially cape Malay cultureThe food is amazing, affordable and interesting.I would really recommend the lamb dossa as well as the yoghurt drinkThe place is usually quite busy I wouldn't say unsafe

Fantastic service and setting. Food was authentic and quality ingredients used. Platters should be shared, portion sizes were huge. Food is delicious and the overall atmosphere is great. Be sure to have the Baklava as well.

Definitely love this place! Food is amazing and the atmosphere. Only downfall was the waiter hardly came to our table we had to keep calling him for service.

A taste of Turkey on your doorstep. This was our first dining experience at Istanbul. Pearl the lady who served us, was very pleasant. We were treated with a complimentary steaming Turkish tea, which we enjoyed, it warmed us up, coming in from the cold and rain.We chose the mezze platter for 2 as starters. It consisted of grilled brinjal, peppers n potatoes. It was accompanied by a bowl of chickpeas, yogurt, Turkish salsa, hummus and lavash (Turkish bread). It was delicious and can be shared between 2 people.The main we chose king prawns, served on bulgar, with sides of chips, salad, garlic butter n a hot sauce. Prawns was cooked to perfection. Dessert was delicious, I had the semolina cake, crumbs evident on the plate next to the baklava that my hubby chose. I had to have 1 of the 3. Lol. We are definitely looking forward to our next visit to Istanbul. It's a great place for family and friends to enjoy a delicious meal n socialise.

Great for family meals. Location is good and the service is great. The food isn’t bad but isn’t that great either. The “Turkish tea” is just regular tea and the coffee is terrible, I found a bunch of silt at the bottom

Absolute food fest, generous portions, fantastic service and a divine flavours. We came to celebrate a graduation with a large group and they were so helpful. Wife and I started with a mix pide as per their recommendation and we fell in love again (maybe there’s place in our marriage for a pide). Next up we decided to share a platter for one and were blown away by assortment of sides and food. The potential combinations of flavours would leave a math genius calculating for hours. Overall highly recommend visiting and sharing!

Did some shopping there today with my 7 month old baby (and having my hands quite full!) and there were staff in every aisle greeting and offering to be of assistance. From asking if they could return something to a shelf on my behalf, to pushing my trolley to the tills, unpacking my goods, pushing the trolley to my car, and unpacking the goods in my car's boot - talk about good service! I was so grateful for all their help! Thank you to all the friendly and helpful staff at Dis-Chem Cape Road!

Good food and relaxed vibe. I had the pleasure of grabbing lunch during Ramadan and the restaurant was relatively empty. The service was spot-on and the food was fresh, flavourful and plentiful. I was invited back that evening to celebrate and join the braking of the fast at dinner. It was packed with people clearly having a fabulous time. Highly recommend.

Great place nested away in nature. Amazing food and cocktails. Very reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again.
