Dora Nginza Provincial Hospital
I hereby would like to thank Sister Sitole and Dr. Sipuka at the Oncology department at the Dora Nginza Provincial Hospital for the respectable way they have treated my sister Zelda Gerber on the 08th March 2022. The procedures were explained to us properly; even with encouragement not having to sit for hours not knowing what is happening next or where will we be send next. I sincerely wish the Government will start taking care of the Provincial Hospitals and employ more staff and workers and get rid of Chiefs that are eating our tax payers funds. Thank you once again.

Ceza Hospital
Ceza Hospital is a Level 1, District Hospital. It is in Zululand and has a Nursing school training enrolled categories and a bridging course. Ceza Hospital has 160 useable beds plus 12 lodger mother beds. There are nine (9) fixed clinics and one (1) mobile clinic with thirty (30) visiting points. There is no clinic offering a 24- hour service but Ceza hospital provides this service. The Hospital serves a population of about 40 353. The Ceza area is deeply rural with very poor gravel roads. It is also marked by high unemployment and poverty rates. However, the Hospital stakeholders are competitive and skilled members. Typical of a rural hospital - issues as lack of Doctors, some material and infrastructure are at the centrefold of the hospital development. Stats provided were taken from the department of Health Ceza Hospital's page.Ceza Hospital was established in 1916 as a Swedish mission hospital, with two rondavels. The number of patients increased so six rondavels were built for patients, a building with Out patients Department and home with twelve beds for maternity patients was established. The first Doctor arrived and stayed in a round hut which belonged to the Parsonage. The second Doctor was placed at Ceza by the Missionaries from 1939 to 1943.In the fourties two more huts and a house containing two rooms each for five patients were added. There was a shortage of trained staff. The nurses’ training school started in January 1941, one of the patients hut was renovated and turned into a lecture room. The actual building of the new Ceza Hospital was supposed to begin in 1948, but funds were frozen from Sweden due to World War II. A proper brick building including several wards and other facilities were erected in the late fifties. These were well equipped. The official opening of the complete new Ceza Hospital was done in 1952. A Doctors’ house was built in 1953 and a new Paediatric ward was built in early sixties.New developments:Bethamoya Dining Hall and the main kitchen were built in the seventies. Three Doctors houses’ to add on top of the four houses were built in the late nineties, the Physiotherapy Department was erected in 2000. A second floor was added at Anna Berntsson (AB) home for Professional Nurses and two flats for Matrons and Tutors in 2001. New male quarters, Central Stores, Transport Office, Maintenance Department, Security Guards’ house, Tuck shop, Boiler house and the Mortuary were built in 2001. A new parking area, the hospital entrance and the road inside the hospital was paved. Renovation of all houses, the wards and the departments is in process. The hospital has opened new many services. Two Park homes have been added on top of two classrooms due to the doubled intake of students. There are six Residential clinics, five R.D.P. clinics and one old clinic. The hospital is looking forward to have a new hospital structure as approved in the multi -year plan.

Edendale Hospital
Do not deserve any stars. Very few patients in the trauma unit but still took 6 hrs to have an xray done for a query fracture and who knows how much longer it is going to take to see the Dr. No pain medication administered or anything to eat or drink during this time. Dont they triage their patients?

Sabie Hospital
Hospital very nice and clean . Quick staff too . I love thier service. I was stitched last sunday and never given tablets nor painkillers. I come back the next Wednesday because i got pains all over my body . Doctor checks me up , removes one or two stitches on my back to see if not effected and doesn't stitch it back . Sends me to the pharmacy to collect painkillers and go home . Today i have difficulty of breathing and moving . Its not a bad Hospital at All . They just dont know when to submit u or not . For me its still the best Hospital I've been too so far .

The doctors are so dedicated... and way too polite. I wish I can say the same about some nurses and as well as their assistants, the level of disrespect and rudeness in that maternity ward is appalling.

Worst hospital. I’ve never been so traumatised. Nurses at labor Ward are so rude and uncaring. My heart still aches till this day. Imagine going through labor and here the nurses are being mean to you. I’m actually thinking of suing this one nurse who was on my case encouraging the other nurses as well. I will never forget her face.
