Ramen Republic
Ramen Republic wow..... Yandiswa was brilliant, she explained in detail components of the dishes I was considering.... the staff in general are sooo friendly and awesome to speak to. The butterfly bubble tea was so refreshing in this heat. I eventually settled on the Pork Ramen. Succulent pork, the broth was well balanced, noodles perfectly cooked and that egg.... and the Miso butter just rounded the whole dish up, sjoooo... I look forward to visiting again and trying other menu items...

Dimples Dumpling House
This eatery innthe old village of Muizenberg has become our go-to for delicious, gluten-free and vegan dining. The staff are attentive and with the warmest smiles will make yo feel like you're coming home at every visit. Their portions are generous and very decently priced. Their drinks menu excludes alcohol but you can byob their fresh juices menu is sufficient (Their fresh lemonade is awesome). Parking is on the pavement opposite or further down the road.

Ramen Republic
Absolutely bland Ramen dishes. We ordered the braised pork ramen and the Chicken ramen-both dishes were tasteless. We had to order chilli oil and ask for soy sauce (hoping that it could make a difference) ...No joy... The starter was a joke (honey and garlic fried shrimp) - looked like raisins on the plate that was soaked in oil.... The Prices does not translate to end dish. Really disappointed at the experience. I'm pretty sure this place will close down soon.

Dimples Dumpling House
Avoid this place - after the good reviews we were really looking forward to this place. The service is nice but that’s about it. The fresh juice it not fresh at all but a mix of juice from the shelve as supposed to be freshly squeezed. The fried dumplings with shiitake and mushroom were hard (I assume they just put raw dumplings in the pan) and had nothing to do with how pan fried dumplings should taste, besides they had a weird taste. The chili oil was not spicy at all nor was there any rice vinegar which every authentic dumpling place should have. And on top of that I got food poisoning from them. That might not be the usual case but in general can’t recommend the place if you’re looking for authentic and nice dumplings!

Ramen Republic
This place is exceptional! Such great, tasty food. Incredible service, so accommodating and made my birthday feast with friends one to remember. Do yourself a favour and make sure you visit this place. Spicy or not spicy, so many options to customize to your choice. Upper Highway is better off for having an establishment like this as an option for something different for take out. Good job you guys!

Three Wise Monkeys
I visited the Three Wise Monkeys on date night, 1 June 2023. We were seated immediately as I was aware that they don't take reservations. The place was buzzing, and I was quite excited to try them as this was highly recommend on social media and I read some of the reviews. So, first things first, drinks. I decided to try the Rose, they only have two choices, then disappointment set in, the one I wanted they did not have in stock, so I had no choice but to go for the more expensive option. So, a tip ... if you not going to give me a choice of drink, please fill my glass to the brim and not just pour a regular glass. Then we wanted some juice... no juice. OK, no problem, still excited to be here. We decided to have some starters, crispy tofu and salt and pepper squid. The tofu was delicious, the squid was chewy but was delicately seasoned, so the flavour was delightful but yes, the fact that it was chewy took away from the enjoyment of the meal. But we forge ahead, still positive. At this point we were told that they don't have the chicken and leek yakitori in stock, which is what I wanted. But moving on, hubby knew he wanted the ramen and decided to try the duck and I asked the waiter what he recommends for the buns option. He recommended the buttermilk chicken bun. So, the duck was a hit and miss for us, the broth was amazing (I need to find the recipe) but the duck itself was a miss. It was not tasty at all; it was chewy and dull and added nothing to the dish. The chicken on the bun was crispy and tasty, the mayo was delectable, but the bun needed some spice, something to set the tongue ablaze, I missed that part. Again, we decided to continue onto dessert, the menu has three options, however only one was available, so we tried the only option of matcha salt custard bun, of which we received three, I tried one, and that was it. Total miss, the entire dish lacked texture and flavour. Not sure if I would give this spot another try, there were too many examples of things not in stock (like juice, my favourite rose, chicken yakitori, dessert options). And the overall experience was merely OK, not amazing, not awesome, not mind-blowing, not exiting) just OK.
