I have been dancing at The Dance Collective for 6 years and have looked forward to every class. Not only have they built my confidence and helped me to improve as a dancer, but they have also given me a second family. The most special part about TDC is the people and how accepting and encouraging they are. I am so lucky to have the friends and experience The Dance Collective has given me, as I know I will use everything I have learnt in the future!! Couldn't recommend this studio any more!

The most professional dance company in Africa!

Rude and unwelcoming, do not recommend this place. I wanted to do classes again after moving to Gauteng so one of my buddies took me along to the dance party. The woman at the front selling snacks/drinks rolled her eyes at me when I asked which payment methods do they accept. And I didn’t appreciate her condescending tone and making me feel like she is doing me a favour by accepting my money. I did enjoyed the dancing but when I asked my buddy about joining, he referred me back to that disrespectful snack woman. She did not have the time to assist me because she was busy socialising outside. Save your money, do not join this expensive for nothing studio. You can get a better service at a better price elsewhere.

Brilliant!

I tried two classes recently. i attended a silks and pole class. It was an absolute blast partaking in the classes. Tharene and her instructors place the students well-being, safety first. You feel welcome and safe in their capable hands. the adapt all skills being taught to your level and ability. I am uncomfortable with heights but always wanted to do circus arts. In the circus arts class The instructor made me feel safe and she supported me and always gave tips etc. All the instructors work with individuals at varying levels of ability and can adjust to each individual student's needs as they arise within a heart beat. I appreciate the support and wonderful awareness the instructors have of those they work with. You really need that ability otherwise your student will end up breaking something. But these ladies really know what they are doing and despite my fear of heights I know they are there to catch" me when I fall and help me up again. The silks class was a truly liberating experience. I highly recommend giving their classes a try. They also run circus classes for kids."
