Fresh food market

Having lived in Scotland for over 25 years, it is always a treat to come back to South Africa on holiday and be able to shop for fresh local produce. Food Lover's Market has an abundance of fresh vegetables, fruit, meat, nuts, and other tasty ingredients including sweet and savoury products. All at affordable prices. The amount of choice and quality of the food is absolutely outstanding. Was very reassuring to see that Covid-19 sanitisation and hygiene policies are followed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience for this foodie and I wish we had something like this in the UK. This particular visit I loved their chilli biltong and the watermelon was the best I have ever tasted!

Great little cheese and preserves shop with prices that cannot be bettered

The service is usually great but this time not so much, the cashier was rude upon my entry. Advising that I am coming in at the wrong door and that I had to sanitize. We're entering a third year of living with Covid. If anything, I know sanitizing is so important. I should have reported her to management and had I not been in such a hurry, I certainly would have. I'm in customer service myself and her demeanor and manner of addressing customers left much to be desired

A horrendous experience. Came here on New Year’s Day for lunch. Ordered two falafel pita’s. Waited in the sun for about 40 minutes just to be told that the restaurant was out of pita bread and was making arrangements to get more bread. After about 20 more minutes I went to the till to cancel my order and ask for my money back. Turns out our pitas had been made ages ago and were standing on the till getting cold. Instead of apologizing for the wait, the owner told me that I was lucky as I got the last of the pita bread. I actually laughed, in awe of how unaware she was of the terrible service she was giving her customers. The food was horrible and tasted like it had been put together from leftovers. I will not go back here. This place needs to step up or close its doors.

Shocking. I recently moved to Tyme bank to ease cash payments for my domestic workers. I paid her salary on Friday. She went to collect from Parkmeadows only to be turned away because they have No Money". There is no ways a pick n pay of that size will not be able to pay a tiny amount of cash. The ladies family went without food or transport money this weekend because of this!I called Tyme bank this morning to understand what the issue may be and they confirmed there is no such thingI will be there later today to go and chat to a manager about this and get this poor family's money to at least allow her to FEED HER KIDS

Beautiful staff..lovely packers.. always helpful. EXCEPT ON THIBG WHERE IS TGE WIPES TO CLWAN TGE HANDLES OF THE TEOLKEYS THEY PRACTISE GOOD EXCELKENT PPE JUST LOVE THEM ALL

I'm outside Pick n Pay Southdale I'm typing this, to my biggest surprise the shop is closed, no communication as to why the shop is closed or if it'll open, the staff is inside looking at us through the glass doors, no one is bothered or even explaing as to why the shop is closed.

TerribleNew lay out will take some getting used to. BUT what really makes me mad is that there is no fast queue, under 10 items.. buy 1 or 2 items have to get in the back of rather busy queues. No consideration for older people.. Fortunate to get 1 star.
