Fishing pier

Beautiful safe place to park and go for a walk. Lots to see and great fishing spot. Well done to TidyTowns and the community for keeping the town and beaches clean.

Truly a hidden gem. Gavin and his team kept us so comfortable, we had to extend our stay. He really made us feel like family. Fishing on the river was nothing short of magical. The finer details are so well thought of in order for the whole family to enjoy the experience. Cant wait to be back there.

We stopped here to 'take a look' and left in awe. There's several picnic spots and a large parking area to just sit and enjoy the views. The public bathrooms were neat, which was nice to see. We decided to have a 'snack' at Vannie Hoek, the local fish shop. I must say that in my life, I have never tasted such fresh and exceptional fish and chips. The yellow tail was out of this world. And we got to enjoy this meal sitting in a little fishing boat, which serves as your table and chairs. How engenious! I am definitely putting this little diamond on our list of places to go back to. The stay at Purple Indigo was great. Accommodation neat and clean. Everything worked. Host Gavin was very helpful with fishing as well. Caught my record Kob in that weekend. Thanks for all the tips and a great stay Gavin.

Do clean, friendly staff and a beautiful place

Pleasant experience last month, not our 1st time but surprised to see alot of green algae on the water and floating plants this time. Lovely lapas (free), with bin at lapa. There are toilets. There is an entrance fee. Lovely kids jungle gym play area. Hours of fun, relaxing atmosphere. Shops on site. Self catering and braais permitted.

It's reasonably priced and on the river bank for easy boat launch. The hosts are lovely people especially Gavin who readily assists all the guests with their requests and queries. Your personal belongings are intact after housekeeping. Very honest environment.

What a place to really spent some time with family. Bathrooms are clean awesome braai facilities. As well as awesome and breathtaking views. They are strict so no issues with visitors I will recommend it to anyone for good quality family or couples time to relax and to chill

What a nice little beach and there are a cat feeding area where spayed cats are kept happy

Amazing place but it is marked incorrectly on the map. It is right on the river.
