Purple Indigo Riverside Accommodation

Truly a hidden gem. Gavin and his team kept us so comfortable, we had to extend our stay. He really made us feel like family. Fishing on the river was nothing short of magical. The finer details are so well thought of in order for the whole family to enjoy the experience. Cant wait to be back there.

It's reasonably priced and on the river bank for easy boat launch. The hosts are lovely people especially Gavin who readily assists all the guests with their requests and queries. Your personal belongings are intact after housekeeping. Very honest environment.

It was really good accomodation. Really clean and tidy inside and out. The owner went out of his way to be really helpfull and the staff were really friendly. I am sure that anyone who stays here will come away with good memories.

I had a wonderful experience at Purple Indigo. Gavin and Barbara were amazing hosts - they knew everyone's names from day one, made homemade croissants and curry beans for breakfast (delicious), and even took care of our friend when he was sick. The place is cute and eclectic (Gavin built everything from scratch). The rooms were perfectly clean and serviced every day. They had a full, functioning kitchen with everything from a toaster to a hot water heater. The location is great, with one restaurant within walking distance and town just a five-minute drive away. If I were to come back, I would absolutely stay at Purple Indigo again.

The hospitality of this place’s owner and staff will make you feel like family, Gavin, the owner is an excellent cook and along with Fikele made the most delicious lamb curry I’ve ever had. Had I known about this place before I would’ve came here earlier. The rooms are clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom are spotless. And this place sits right at the riverbank, next door to Offshore Africa making it an ideal accommodation if you are here for the Sardine Run. Gavin offered to take me to town to get some groceries as it’s not really that close to town which having access to transportation made my stay very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend!

Gavin makes you feel welcome and friendly staff with daily room service. Safe and secure premises even if you are fishing alone. Going back soon.

Entering 2019 @ Purple Indigo's venue was the best choice! Spending new years eve at the river fishing with family was superb! The rooms and entire place are well maintained, clean and tranquil. All necessary equipment was readily available in the kitchen. The staff is warm and professional! Thanks Barbara and Gavin, you are the best hosts and always ready to assist where needed.
