Heaven on Vaal

Amazing place but it is marked incorrectly on the map. It is right on the river.

Wow what a beautiful place. This is the place to go if you want a relaxing time away from home

Spent a quiet and relaxing Sunday fishing here, didn't catch much but that is expected in winter. The water is low so it was a bit difficult to net the fish. The facilities were clean and tidy and the hostess was welcoming and friendly. There is a great swimming pool available that is very clean. Pack light if you are coming fishing for the day as it is a bit of a walk to the water.

Extremely unprofessional, I enquired about fishing and as a result of speaking English I was told blankly there is a lot of fisherman and cannot be accommodated. And then she asks me how people would like to come. I refused and said thanks we will fish elsewhere

My husband & I booked in from 28-29 Sep.We where placed in the Sky room.It was such a pleasure to get away from our daily busy lives in the city for awhile. The atmosphere was so peaceful and relaxing and the view over the river was also tranquilizing to say the least....We were also informed of all the renovations that was taking place, as well as the ant problem, but it never bothered us at all.Besides, which household or business is ANT FREE anyway? NONE... No place is ever ant free.....Ansie's hospitality from arrival till departure was also awesome.We are busy planning our next visit to Heaven On Vaal for sure.This time it will be with the entire family included.THANK YOU HEAVEN ON VAAL FOR A SUPER WEEKEND AND THANK YOU AGAIN ANSIE FOR YOUR AWESOME HOSPITALITY

[Vir Afrikaans sien onderaan of my Reis rakker resensie]Heaven on Vaal is situated right on the Vaal oewer and offer 170° river views from most of its rooms.It is quite expensive though, but fair compared to other options in the area. Late check-ins, which is usually part of the game in the hospitality industry, is however charged at a pricey R500. Taking the distance from the nearest airport into account makes it even more ridiculous.It has a medium sized, well kept pool ideal for cooling down on those hot summer days and a nearby jetty offer easy access via boat or jet ski.The building is unfortunately quite old and not very well maintained. We stayed in the Penthouse" suite and although it was one of the largest and supposedly luxurious rooms
