I have personally attended Salims class, and i found it to be very informative and professional. He conducts the classes with the utmost patience which makes it more comfortable for first timers as well. Well done Salim and faatima.

Dedicated, highly experienced, knowledgable & attentive instructors, with real world self defence scenarios are the ingredients for a very useful discipline. Highly recommended!

I don't really write reviews but I have to say training with Salim has really boosted my confidence.I am amazed at what the Human body is capable off thanks to Combat Science showing me the way.

Would really recommend this martial arts school. Sifu Salim Badat is a knowledgeable teacher with many years of teaching experience. Classes are educational and a great fun way to keep fit.

Sifu Salim's classes are always exciting and capitivating. Sifu covers all ranges of combat which includes weaponry , hand to hand and grappling. I have been with Sifu many years and I still learn something new every lesson. Sifu teaches all concepts in theory and practical therefore making you highly skilled in the art you choose.. Sifu's teaching is of the highest calibre and his classes are definitely something I will recommend to those interested in martial arts.

I knew I had to come and learn how to defend myself as a solo female traveler. I found fighting spirits club online and figured I would try it out.I've discovered a class that is warm, lovely, and funny!In about two months I've learnt more than I ever did in past attempts, and therefore more than I thought I could possibly do.I grew confidant there and we all trained with a smile.Classes are practical and teach you things you *need* to know in life. The group is welcoming and embracing.I highly recommend this class to anyone, especially if you are inexperienced and worried to try it out for the first time!On a personal note,thank you Victor and Jilian for taking the extra step to make sure I get home safely at the end every time, thank you for making sure i understood the movements and helped me work on them at my own pace, thank you for being a happy place full of laughter to spend time at twice a week.If anyone reading this is still wondering if they should go: It's going to be a hard workout and it's going to be completely worth it!!!

Sifu Salim Badat is the most awesome human being that one will meet. His knowledge and teaching skills are second to none. His FMA, Escrima, knife defense, knife attack, JKD, and Ving Tsun classes will blow your mind as Sifu transitions from weapons into empty hands.Love my classes I have with Sifu and our current team. I have found the Wing Tsjun technique provides me with a way to be empowered in defending myself as a woman and gives me a sense of strength, I never thought I had. Practices are informative and give insight into the origin of this martial art. I am learning the first form, Siu Nim Tao" which is the first of the hand forms of Wing Tsjun -Kung Fu.
