Cultural landmark

We loved it. Was great fun going out on the lake with my wife and kids. Saw hippo and crocs and an abundance of birdlife. The crew of Frannas were awesome hosts. Pity that reeds have been choking the estuary for so many years.

Great area to visit, walk around, shop, dine, take a boat ride, enjoy the day! Indoor shopping mall is upscale, modern, clean and two levels. Lots of high end shopping. Lots of restaurants to choose from both in the enclosed shopping mall and around the waterfront. Every restaurant seemed very busy and the ones around the waterfront had balconies overlooking the boat slips. I took an hour and a half boat trip out and around the harbor on a forty foot catamaran designed to take a lot of people and there were only two other people on it. It cost me five dollars. One hundred Rand. I had limited time but could have easily spent more time here walking about and trying different restaurants. This is also where you get the boat to visit Robbins Island, a former penal colony with deep Nelson Mandela history. This is a four hour excursion which I was not able to do. Trips fill up quickly so book this online.

Went on the Fannas, lovely tour guide/captain and assistant, Very knowledgeable and friendly.If you go on a day that is cold or possibly rainy, please take extra rain jackets and scarves etc. It gets very cold and miserable but to no fault of the ferry ride and captain.

A 2 hour tour trough the township of Knysna was very interesting. They gave information about the life in this township and its history.We visited a African doctor, kinder-garden, shops and had a nice lunch before we returned to the petrol station.It is definitely something to do during your stay in Africa.

Amazing location. Clean, neat & well laid out. Plenty of places to eat, plenty of activities along the Harbour side with amazing views. Informal pop up markets with a variety of goods & foods cater for all tastes. V&A is safe with plenty of parking. Loved it!

Es war eine zweistündige Tour durch Eco African organisiert welche sehr informativ und eindrucksvoll war. Wir haben eine Schule besucht und kleine Geschäfte der Einheimischen. Danach war leider alles etwas unorganisiert. Malwanda, der Eigentümer bzw Ersteller wusste nicht das wir kommen und waren die ganze Zeit alleine im Zimmer und wir durfen alleine nicht raus. Wir wurden zwar gut betreut, immer hat wer gefragt ob alles gut ist, aber naja... war etwas langweilig. Das Essen vor Ort war ok, aber wir haben die Küche gesehen und es war etwas ekelig mit anzusehen, wo unser Essen zubereitet wurde. Kostet auch ungerecht 10€. Aber die Zimmer waren für die Verhältnisse super, sauber und schön hergerichtet.

Great place for the entire family. Lots to do and see. Great affordable Harbor cruises and plenty of restaurants. Many attractions in one place. Which makes it convenient for tourists. Get to see the seals and many historic buildings. The cruise tour guides are very funny and know alot about the history of the Victoria & Alfred waterfront. Loved every bit of it.

Definitely a tourist destination. A lot of market style African inspired stores. The water was clean. Staff working on the harbour were so friendly and approachable. Was very busy but well worth it.

All Swans supporters should make the pilgrimage to pay homage to the great man.
