Sunset Jetty
We loved it. Was great fun going out on the lake with my wife and kids. Saw hippo and crocs and an abundance of birdlife. The crew of Frannas were awesome hosts. Pity that reeds have been choking the estuary for so many years.

Went on the Fannas, lovely tour guide/captain and assistant, Very knowledgeable and friendly.If you go on a day that is cold or possibly rainy, please take extra rain jackets and scarves etc. It gets very cold and miserable but to no fault of the ferry ride and captain.

A great spot to see crocodiles, birds and the sunset.There are organized boat tours that depart a few times every day. Bookings are not essemtial but I advise that you pre nook. The issue is that your busses tend to fill these nats leaving you at the jetty.

Wildlife aficionados will truly appreciate this short ( approx 2hrs) cruise on the estuary of Lake St Lucia. This is one of many of the available options and our captain knows the river like the back of his hand. He also has probably the best vision as he could pick out the bird life on the banks and even a cobra resting in a tree from the water! So much to learn about the delicate ecosystems, and of course photographing the large hippopotamus population and crocodiles that enjoy a protected status within the reserve. Ornithologists will be thrilled.

Good place to book a sunset Tour with hippo spotting. Didn't find any crocodiles. But still enjoyed the tour
