A fantastic get away for couples, great trail walks, birding and relaxation. Only 3 units but are well fitted with everything needed, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Reasonably priced and well hoster by Mark.

Absolutely Stunning views of the surrounding forest. With magnificent Turacos in your garden and cape parrots flying over head I would highly recommend.

Magoebaskloof Birders' Cottages
One the best equipped self-catering lodges we have ever stayed at. Everything was very clean, and the indoor braai at Narina (which is in a separate rondawal) is made for cosy evening braais. The forest surroundings are very relaxing. A butterfly book is recommended as there are so many beautiful butterflies all throughout the forest. The special forest birds (White Starred Robin, Choristers robin chat, Narina trogon, etc) are common in the area.

Absolutely stunning. The location is picturesque and the rooms have everything you need, while being more than comfortable.My only caution would be to make extra sure your windows are closed when you're not around as the monkeys are quick to seize any opportunity to get in and steal fruit.

Magoebaskloof Birders' Cottages
We had an awesome few days at Birders Cottage. The cottage was gorgeous, clean and the little things that we thought of made it such a treat - (bird seed for the birds, bubble bath for our outside baths!!). The birds were amazing and the time just sitting on the cottage patio or in the forest was total relaxation. It is a real gem that we both want to tell everyone about and yet keep secret just for ourselves. We are already planning our next trip!!

Magoebaskloof Birders' Cottages
We had an absolutely wonderful time at Magoebaskloof Birders Cottage. The Trogon cottage is set in a beautiful mountainous and forest environment with amazing views all round. The hiking trails is a must with all of the trees, waterfalls, bird and wild life in the area. The Cottage was also very clean and well thought out and equipped with everything provided to enjoy your stay. The indoor fire place and outside bath was amazing amenities to have. Thanks Mark, will definitely be back in die future.

Absolute gem of a place! Mark has equipped Trogon cottage with solar lights and a gas stove which were useful during loadshedding and helped keep the stay as tranquil as possible. The indoor fireplace/braai was a fantastic experience especially in the winter evenings. Nothing more refreshing than waking up to nature. We cannot wait for our next visit!

What a magnificent little gem. We had a wonderful, relaxed stay in a well equipped cottage. Thank you Mark for all the little extras (bubble bath, mosquito repellant, umbrella etc) that just made for such a comfortable stay. The splash pool and outside bath in its private setting is a huge bonus. Lovely walking trails too. Will definitely be back!!
