Road Lodge Richards Bay

Breakfast was sad, rooms are small, small shower. Rooms only start getting cleaned after 10am, so if you're out early and back again around 10 you'll be coming back to a unmade room. Water at the buffet is tap water, not filtered. Convenient central location. Staff are great and friendly.

Reason I am giving it a 4 overall and the service a 3 is because for entertainment for the kids ( because I had my two kids with me when i booked: Reservation No: 367BB909L) there is zero TV channel/s to keep children entertained!! When I went down to reception to enquire, I got a guy who LIED to me and said they dont have any kids channels because they dont normally have kids booked at their lodge but they are able to add a kids channel upon request so he will have a look and add one for me. As to why you have to REQUEST for a simple kids channel in the first place at that lodge is beyond me and is simply ridiculous!! My kids stayed up whole night for this guy to add" one channel till they fell asleep after midnight

Well established and just got fresh renovations. Well sleep to excellent service. Well located near business.

Front end staff not very clued up, always asking supervisor/manager how to do this and that. Rooms are decent if you needing a place to rest, very basic.

Room did not have enough milk, only one sachet tea and 2 satchets coffee. What if we wanted to have coffee or tea the evening as well as the morning? Reception ladies not friendly. Sarcastic reply when I asked for more milk. Only one small soap for 2 people is inadequate. Can do better. When I phoned them for more soap they said I must come down the stairs to fetch it, besides I was already undressed. So I requested that they please bring to the room, which they did.

I love our stay! Service is very good! So much services offered. Staff is always friendly

I didn't expect a room without a bar fridge in this bad weather of 34 to 36 degree

The carpets inside rooms and passages are quite smelly. Other than that it's okay. Great value for money.
