Pre COVID food use to special, good value & staff were energised. These days it's very ordinary. Menu tries being special but in reality doesn't meet expectations. Staff are polite but seem bored. Lesson is sometimes it's better for clubs to rent out kitchens for less to generate higher customer satisfaction, especially if it's working.

Five Dock RSLAs I explained to a friend, so excited in the tradition, our favorite place to go, please don’t be disappointed it’s no longer the same. I stood back to watch as her partner waited to be served staff finished their conversation, I heard him exclaim, are you finished because I would hate to be a pain. I stepped forward to pay the bill not wanting their experience to be as previously experienced by me. It was the same blonde lady from my previous pain. As they sat I ordered a bottle and asked about the featured wine, she advised I could not swap as the order had been entered, my friend a publican said as long as I didn’t touch it, my order could change? They’re just completing shifts and getting paid It’s a new culture, it’s no longer the same, Service is not part of their game. At 6:00pm the ordered respect for fallen soldiers, we all stood in silence, except for staff to the shock of all talked till the end, laughing like the greatest joke told. My Grandfather was a soldier, took part in two wars, we don’t celebrate the war, but comer-ate so many young men who died for us all. There is one thing I hate more than rudeness, it’s fake niceness like service is a game. As earlier I stated I have never complained, but where has Stewart gone and the good staff are no longer the same:(…

We had a pleasant dinner here and our kids had an absolute blast in the kids play area. The free kids meal promotion on Friday nights was an excellent bonus too! We had a mix of pasta's, burgers, steaks, chicken schnitzel, wedges and spring rolls. All the meals were large, tasty and filling. We will definitely be back soon!

Five Dock RSL is one of those places that I wish I had discovered many years ago, but only found recently. From the greeting at the front door to the food from the restaurant, it's hard to fault anything here. Drink prices are good and having now worked my way through most of the dishes on offer from the restaurant, I can say that the food is excellent (especially the lamb (or occasional chicken) souvlaki plates). Friday and Sunday raffles are good and there's a good trivia night on Thursdays. Staff are genuinely friendly.

Had a wonderful meal with all the family today - large portions, good quality and quick service!

I try not to review if I don’t visit the place at least twice.However, this time is exceptional.Had lunch with friend and 2 kids yesterday. They have perfect sized kids play area and parents toilet very next to it.Good food and super friendly staff! I can give all stars to Gilbert who genuinely show his hospitality to all of us.Definitely going to visit again.

I blacklisted this place for a long time. Their food always used to let them down - overcooked, lack of flavour and underwhelming.That was disappointing as they have a wonderful kids area for the kids to play in plus Club Five Dock is only a short walk away.As a last resort we went for dinner there last week. I tried to convince hubby to go elsewhere but alas, I lost the battle. I'm so happy to see they have stepped up their game... A LOT! The dumplings we ordered for entree were nice. The $10 steak was really good. Honestly, the steak surprised the heck out of me as previously (years ago) I ordered rare and steak came out overcooked with no sauce. For a fussy steak eater this was a travesty. Well done Club Five Dock... keep it up! Big improvement. We'll now happily return.

Clear and tidy condition. Cake and Dessert is nice. Good price value, But the fish and chips could be have made better.
