Honchos Berea Centre

Firstly, let me start by saying..As an avid lover of Honchos, this has to be the smartest and trendiest honchos store that I've ever been to....and not to mention the cleanest.A big shout out to the manager in appointing a cashier who's attitude and vibe could light up even your darkest of days.. clearly he has a good handle on things from customer service to quality and hygiene.Highly recommended!The food was amazing and the atmosphere electric!Will definitely be back for more !Keep it up team Honchos Berea...you guys are truely raising the bar.

TThe shawarmas are tiny and the filling is bland. Barely any filling. Just one strip of chicken. Their chips are not consumable. They have a nasty taste and smell.Honchos please do better.

Their closing time is 7:30pm however I called at 6:59pm and the lady I spoke to said they close at 7 and I should come in to place my order. Then I'd said it will be 7pm in a minute I won't make it to be there before you close then she said that they could stay open for me if I wanted to come in but the options would be whatever was on hand. I am rating 2 stars for the mere fact that they are closing before the hours stated, had I not called in to check if they had what I wanted on the menu I would have gone up only to find out it was closed early. The second star rated is for the fact that they would have waited for me had I chosen to go up but the lady said she would have to speak to her manager to find out about that. All in all too much complications just for a simple order. I chose to go to Big Joe's which is in the same mall and open until 8pm. I got the same family combo at a cheaper price aswell.

Yesterday I called in an order at 11.30. when I called I told the person taking my order that to please keep my order even if it gets cold but I will come fetch it. I would not be coming soon. When I went at 12.30 to fetch the order , I asked for the order and the person at the till gave me a blank stare. Without answering me she walked away to the back to ask the people preparing my food something. Then they all looked at me with worried expressions but still noone was giving me an explanation. She came back to the till and answered another customers query in Zulu but still not a single word to me . I then got very upset and explained that I had placed the order for my children who I had to fetch from school and that I was a working mum. This was the lunch for my children. Still no explanation. Until I asked if the burgers on the grill were mine. She said no. I left. I am extremely upset. I am a regular customer on the weekend. There was no apology or explanation. Please train your staff that when a customer asks a question that they should answer and that they should call a customer back if they feel they are not keeping the order .
