Do not waste your time at this builders branch. There was no one at Information for a good chunk of my time at the store, so no one could help me get that I intended to purchase. I needed assistance to retrieve the products from a locked display and it took nearly an hour to locate the person with a key. They didn’t have exactly what I needed so I asked for the next best range - they knew nothing about the products and could not make a professional recommendation. Not the Builders experience I associate with the brand. Do better!

Waited quite a while to be helped. Gentleman that then came to help me (at gas heaters next to info counter) didn't seem at al informed on the products and behaved quite patronisingly. Some (hazardous) products (alva heaters) also didn't have even the most basic product info on it. (like heat or voltage given it was an electricity/gas combo). I asked the gentleman some questions about the product and while I'm lifting it up and looking for the info he just quietly disappears. Quite rude.

DON'T EVER BUY AT THIS PLACE. None of the prices listed on the shelves are correct so you have to guess what you're going to pay for it and you can't insist on the listed price because it's not their fault". Also when you speak your home language

Great variety of plants and pots in their nursery section... Also veggie stuff... Busy building my own veggie patch, so spending a lot of time in the store... Looking at the negative reviews I realise that most people who critisise are really the problem because they have their own issues that the like to dump on people who they think are 'beneath' them.... Sad but true

Absolutely disgusting customer service. There is never anyone around to help on the floor. I wanted to buy an air compressor that was om promotion, but no one could find stock and the only staff member who knew where the stock was was suddenly unreachable. The woman who I spoke to (very politely) to try to resolve the issue after waiting around for at least half an hour, told me aggressively to leave her alone". Wow. She should not be working in a position where she has to deal with people. I am honestly disappointed. This is a joke. And then when I finally got to the till

Service is really bad, you always have to look for someone to help you - there is NO staff enthusiasm....*honestly, that comes from the top down.... In my opinion, there are better places to shop...where service is really with a smile.2 stars for the stock carried in store....

Nice shop but variety can let them down. Often end up being frustrated. Range is sometimes mystifying. Rarely do they have everything I am looking for and then need to go elsewhere. Staff not as knowledgeable on their range as they should be.

Builders Warehouse Cape Gate
Excellent store, with all you need for building, repairs or house and garden. The staff are decent but could be more attentive. They have a great garden section and there is ample, safe on-site parking. Also, the hot dog stand out front is great!
