I don't remember exactly when my son started with Cybersmart Aquatics but it must be at least 5 years now. Although he learned swimming as a toddler at another club, I still regret that I didn't know about Cybersmart then. I recommend (indeed strongly recommend) the Club whoever I come across, especially parents with young kids (for them not to waste time and money in any other place) without any hesitation because I know how the Club takes teaching/coaching seriously and they give the best to our kids. I have first hand experience in this myself as well. With my short term club membership, I was surprised with the close attention of the coaches (especially Chanelle, who is an amazing coach and a natural teacher) and I must admit their contribution took my poor swimming skills to another level even in almost three months' time.Besides all these I also like having the club in our neighbourhood. It is so convenient to get there in almost 5 minutes. In the past they were limited to two lanes at the gym's pool, now it is such a pleasure to see that learners are enjoying the pool all for themselves. And no need to say by this the club reaches and accommodates more kids. (I'd like to mention here that when I watch them in the pool, all different groups, all synchronized in their groups' swimming strokes, I like to think of them as a big orchestra and I love it!)And it will be unfair if I don't mention how good they were during dark times of covid isolation. They kept in contact with the kids online and tried to keep them active with their land training" zoom sessions. Although we couldn't attend much

Elizabeth O'Rourke is an amazing swimming instructor. She gave our son his very first swimming lesson when he was a toddler. She taught him to have a love for swimming and today he is still swimming. What a small world it is and both swimming instructor and swimmer meets again after all these years at Cybersmart Aquatics.

My kids have been swimming with Cybersmart Aquatics for over 2 years now after transferring from our previous club. Cybersmart is a well run club with very dedicated coaches and a professional yet friendly environment to allow swimmers of all levels to achieve their best. I cannot recommend Cybersmart Aquatics highly enough and look forward to many more years with the club.

Zac SampsonJoined January 2019We've been very happy since joining early 2019. One of the things that stood out for me over the years was during a world pandemic in 2020 Cybersmart supported us in the struggle during COVID19 & endeavorured to get their doors opened again & get their swimmers safely back in the water just a few short months after complete lockdown. Cybersmart has a family oriented culture; the coaches are very good with the kids there's strictness but there's fun & definitely care from all of the coaches right through to fellow swimmers & parents, which strikes just the right balance for everyone. The clubs operating times allows for different time suitability for both students, & working parents. Together the school & Cybersmart work as a unit ensuring that the facilities ticks all the boxes & stays ahead of the times.Since joining Zac's level of swimming has improved tremendously over the years as he quickly progressed through each swim squad & it has shown in the results. His achieved a number of top 3 places, accolades & awards in the Nipper Lifesaving competitions Regionally & Nationally, which has allowed him to become a stronger swimmer & competitor in both the ocean & the pool.Overall we've been very happy & would recommend Cybersmart to all!

I’ve been swimming with Cybersmart since 2020, so 3 years now. The club values hard work and commitment while also building great relationships and friendships along the way. The aquatic facilities at Milnerton high school are definitely one of the best in Cape Town, having such a reliable pool is great for the amount of sessions we train a week at Cybersmart. Training with Cybersmart has helped me to reach a lot of my goals, like competing at the Commonwealth games and having a successful senior african champs last year, because of how dedicated our coaches are and how goal oriented everyone is. I would recommend Cybersmart to anyone who is looking to swim stronger and faster!

Cybersmart was a very friendly and encouraging environment. The coaches strive to push the swimmers to reach their potential while also enjoying the sport. The coaching team is very accommodating and will always put the swimmers first. Couldn’t recommend a more hard working, dedicated and fun group of people.

My son Matt has been swimming with Cybersmart since August 2020 when he was 11 yearsold. We initially joined for some simple stroke correction and for basic fitness since most sports were not yet allowed after hard lockdown. As a toddler Matt was scared of swimming to the point where if there were people swimming he would hide on the other side of the house. He obviously learned the basics over time butnever had any stroke training. With Chanelle as his coach, Matt progressed quite quickly through Zone 12 and 13 and attended his first gala in October 2021. His first season of galas ended at the Level 2 regionalsin March 2022 where he earned medals in each of the eight events that he participated in. Five Gold, two Silver and one Bronze. This achievement created an incredibly strong foundation for Matt’s confidence levels post lockdown and during his Grade 6 and 7 years. He changed schools during this time and hisswimming gave him something to make his mark and make friends.Balint and Chanelle carefully manage each swimmer according to their strengths. Swimmers are not pushed to compete before they are ready and even the events they swim are chosenaccording to their abilities so that their confidence is built every step of the way. There is a good balance between discipline, hard work and having fun during training. The Cybersmartcoaches are completely dedicated at all times and their knowledge and passion is clearly visible in the achievements of their swimmers.Successes are celebrated and encouragement and advice given in a positive way at galas. It is absolutely incredible to be part of a club where there is healthy competition between the swimmers but also unfailing support of one’s team mates. The friendships that havedeveloped within the club extend well beyond the poolside, swimmers and parents alike yell for your child on the side lines even when your child is competing against theirs. Even when theclub members compete against each other in school galas, it isn’t quite as bad to lose to a club member. An added bonus is having our kids able to meet and swim with athletes that have already achieved great success in their swimming. Swimming with Ethan du Preez and Chad le Clos inthe next lane, even when they complete two laps for your one is inspirational and helps our children to realize that those goals can be achieved through hard work and dedication bynormal every day people. Watching their own coach marching with the South African Team during the Olympic Games is also inspirational. We would happily recommend the Cybersmart Club to anyone who asks. The self discipline, confidence, work ethics and camaraderie developed during training and competing isinvaluable both inside the club and out.

Cybersmart Aquatics
To whom it may concern,I am Kelsey Chiang and it is my absolute pleasure to write this recommendation letter for Cybersmart Aquatics.I have been swimming with Cybersmart since 2014 and have enjoyed being part of this loving team with highly dedicated coaches. Cybersmart always makes an effort to ensure all swimmers are comfortable and receiving the correct training they need to become even better! Through the specialised training programmes, whether it's on land or in water, and various swimming groups, it is almost impossible for us not to improve. The coaches are also always contactable and helpful if we need anything. Cybersmart puts its swimmers first and that is where the best swimmers are made! With Cybersmart being at Milnerton High School, swimming is much more convenient and accessible compared to when we were at Tableview Virgin Active. The luxury of having a heated indoor pool is every swimmer’s dream, especially when we do not have to share one lane with 5 others. We are able to train comfortably in any type of weather! Having said that, the hot showers and changing rooms are clean and private making before and after training pleasant. The Milnerton High School pool has been the best pool we have trained in!By being with Cybersmart for around 9 years, I can confidently say that it has made a significant impact on my character. It has taught me to be committed and dedicated, which I definitely value now. It shaped me to become a person who is devoted and has taught me the value of hard work. If you put in the effort, you will reach your goals, especially with the team of Cybersmart rooting for you.I believe that as a swimmer, you will thrive with Cybersmart Aquatics. Everything in this club is shaped to improve you and all those around you. I am sure that anyone who joins Cybersmart will grow and learn valuable lessons you cannot find anywhere else. Your swimming will get better but you will also become a part of a loving and accepting family.Yours sincerely, Kelsey Chiang
