Took my puppy with vomiting. Tests" came back negative for catflu. Same afternoon he tested positive at another vet. That after she told me to bring him back with another R4000 after paying her R1400 for "injections and tests". More worried about payment than helping your animal. He could still be alive today if he was treated for catflu that very same morning."

Always professional, considerate and caring! My Bentley (cat) is never scared to go there and they always treat him with love! From the gentlemen who assists with the animals, to the admin ladies and all the doctors - really an amazing team and very understanding!!!Bentley had emergency surgery done and the whole staff was very accommodating. I had interaction with every staff member and I am extremely pleased with and grateful for Northcliff Vet.Thank you!

Dr Jenny Been and staff at NVH have always treated our pets and ourselves with respect, kindness and empathy. There are few events as stressful as having a sick pet, but fortunately one thing we did not have to worry about was whether our animals were in good hands and that everything possible would be done to restore their health and vitality. Dr Been is also very honest about vet costs and will not (i strongly believe) charge for tests or other procedures that are not necessary. On the one occasion i queried an amount on the account it was quicky and amicably resolved.If you want a vet who will do their best and go beyond to relieve an animal's suffeeing and diagnose the cause, i cannot recommend Dr Been and NVH highly enough.

Please don't go here. This is a money greedy place and the Dr cannot diagnose correctly. The Dr kept on asking how much money I had to treat my very ill cat and then he refused to work with the one plan insurance as he complains they pay him to late. Obviously he is money greedy. It is the old man Dr, they examine your pet while you sit outside and wait. It is ridiculous, then he wants 4000 rand upfront as a deposit to do unnecessary blood tests. I took my cat to another vet to find out he had a bowel obstruction, if the Dr was not thinking about money that much he would have had more compassion and examined properly. I will never come to this greedy vet again. Money should be their logo as that is all they are after.

I recently relocated to Berario, therefore did not have a preferred Vet in the Area. I went to this practice for the first time in February with both my dogs for their yearly Vaccines and check up. My baby Muffin fell ill, and I took him to Jenny on the 24th May 2023, he had not been eating for a few days. She did an examination and asked me to pay a deposit of R5000, as she needed to do bloods, and further tests if required. I paid this without any hesitation. I was then called around 11am, to say that she picked up some abnormalities in his blood and has done an X-Ray(which didn't show anything abnormal) but does not know what is actually wrong with him. She then explained that she is referring me to JHB specialist Vet. I totally agree with one of the other reviews in that, you are in this for the money. I still had to pay a further R260 for the x-rays, over and above the R5000. I then went to JHB specialist Vet, were i spent a further R10300.00.... the above wouldn't be an issue, if I actually got some proper answers, I'm still left with a sick child!!! I have consequently visited a 3rd Vet, who only charged me R1200, for Bloods, Ultra Sound and Medication and my baby is actually eating on his own. You have not only wasted money I don't have to play around with, but precious time, that could of cost my childs life....Unfortunately we are at your mercy when our precious kids are sick, and it seems as if you are just there to take advantage!!!If you cannot do your Job as a Vet, rather close your practice, then cheat people out of their money and send them elsewhere after charging them exorbitant amounts of money for doing nothing.

Thank you for looking after our pets over the years. I have yet to meet a more compassionate and caring vet. We highly recommend Dr Been and the team at Northcliff veterinary hospital.

DON'T EVER EVER GO HERE PLS!!We took our cat to here who was having issues with using the litter box.The Dr. Quoted us an insane amount for the treatment and when we told her it's out of our budget and if there's anything else we could doShe said that his going to DIE and that it's extremely urgent.WHAT KIND OF A DOCTOR TELLS HER PATIENT IS GOING TO DIEAT LEAST BE POSITIVE AND COMFORT US!!!!!Fyi our cat had the same issue previously and we were quoted maybe half the amount of what she quoted usSo we were at mercy and had him treated for that amount...A few days later he was all good and ready to go home. She then told us to pay an additional amount that we were not told about.A few days later the vet calls us again asking if the cat is ok, but in a way that sounds as if she *DESPERATELY WANTS him to be so seriously sick* again... Not once but 4 bloody TimesShe plays on your emotions and says you need to pay a crazy amount *OR THEY WILL DIE*She needs to be reported for animal abuse, her clinic must shut down and she must never be allowed to hurt more animals and practice ever ever ever ever again
