EDIT1 year later and nothing has changed. Not a single person in sight near the coffee bean bar. 2min to choose coffee and 25min to find someone to help.Only 3 tills open at 9am on a Wednesday.Don’t try and buy coffee beans here, there’s hardly ever a staff member at their post and when you figure it out on your own, you will work out that all their labels are the same. So unless you write down the flavor on each bag, good luck trying to work out which flavors are which

It has the biggest and freshest variety of fruit , veg, meat. They also have an excellent take away food selection, a good restaurant, big variety of cheeses and very good bakery. A very good variety of coffee beans. All the food that one will need, all under one roof.Service is excellent. Wheel chair access. Prices are competitive. Ample parking.

Good variety, however I would advise to keep away from the bakery. You cannot have baked goods like bread or rolls in the open. I have seen people handling rolls with bear hands that have been who knows where and putting them back. I complained about it but I don't think that the staff cares much about cleanliness. Not for me...

Terrible quality yet again. Purchased a freshly baked" sweet potato bread yesterday and it was dry and old as toast when I cut through it. How does this happen when a so called bakery bakes everydayNever again will I support these guys

I was very disappointed with the guy at the kitchen. His service was so bad like his doing you a favor. He went to the back to get himself a jacket without even asking if I'm assisted. Gives me attitude just to make fries chips. people like him makes my shopping experience be unpleasant. Like can we spend our money in peace But the guy next to him that make the shwama was so helpful.

Weight not correct. You pay more! Bannanas at R10 a killo but 3 bags are all 700g

Good day I visited the store today to purchase oxtail because I was getting visitors. From the time I opened the packaging I could get that bad smell. I rinsed it so many times. I tried steaming it with fresh herbs. The flies were all over the kitchen because of the terrible smell. I tried calling but it says mailbox full.This is not the first time I have experienced this problem with the oxtail.

Very,very busy on their 30th birhday aniversary.Only one chef in the kitchen of The Market Place restaurant.Waiting time for your order,minimum of one hour.Not a Manager in sight.Promotions lady on P A system drives one mad with repeating the same story every second minute.A very unpleasant experience today at an otherwise favourite shop of ours.

Amazing place to get fresh food! Love it! Wide selection. You can even enjoy some sushi. The fruit at Food Lovers Market is always fresh and the canteen area has a wide selection of delicious food to pack and take home. There's a wide selection of premade and delicious salads as well. Highly recommend this place for fruit, vegetables and meat.

Food Lovers going from bad to worse. Prices keep increasing but quality keeps decreasing. Bought peaches there yesterday. Berated the packer who kept piling more and more onto already packed shelf, putting fresh peaches right at the top of the shelf where buyers cannot reach them, leaving me to take from the lower pile. Got home, sliced open two peaches to find them bruised and rotted inside. Why keep piling fruit and vegetables on top of each other on the shelves?! They get no air, bad ones rot good ones! There is NO supervision of the packers. They just do as they please. No loose glace cherries available at the dried fruit and nuts pick n mix area. Why? Because this shop wants to get rid of the tubs of glace cherries they were sellingover Xmas period at an exhorbitant price! 2litre milk has shot up from R26 to R32. Cheese gets wrapped in layer upon layer of plastic and left out of the fridge for consumers. The plastic wrapping then makes the cheese sweat and it goes off. If I ask for a piece of cheese to be freshly cut I get told they don't do it.Lower income groups and pensioners are already struggling under the economy yet we have to pay premium prices for produce which gives no value for money.I hereby BOYCOTT Food Lovers. I refuse to pour further money into a shop which has no interest in caring for shoppers.What has happened to customer care and quality?!!
