Pickle pot Cafe is on the R617, 10 kms outside Boston heading towards Impendle in the Underberg District.Really awesome meals. Service is par excellence. The owner is Francis, a qualified carvery chef. Prices of meals are affordable. You could choose to sit indoors or outdoors. Tables are under trees. 3 beautiful, friendly and lovely canine pets. There is a dam on the property where you could fish for trout. They can organize a 4 km hike through their very own forrest .They have a small venue on site which can be used for parties, weddings, etc. They also cater for Geo Cache. The shop stocks a wide variety of home made pickles. Please indulge yourself in their home made scones, jams, butter and teas. Magnificent.Of the 3 canines, one will signal to the owner that guests have arrived, whilst the other 2 canines will come up front to greet you. How's that for a friendly welcome and canine service. Awesome. The atmosphere is peaceful, serene and tranquil. You experience the feeling of being home away from home.Don't forget to fill in the Visitors book before leaving. There is a safe and beautiful play area with swings, jungle gym, boat for the kiddies.Ablution facilities are spotless.I promise you that you will never regret your visit.I have visited this place on the 12 th May 2023 and I will always visit the Pickle Pot Restaurant whenever I am in the Underberg District.

It's a really lovely place. A must visit if you pass by.The food is well plated, hearty, and made well. (although same foods are badly priced and are a bit expensive for there serving size.)However there serving is quite big most of the timeService is fast.Pickles and jams are creative and a must have.Drinks are average. The food is not really the main point but the homey atmosphere. The dogs, housing, carpets, location, furniture is absolutely complementary.Being surrounded by all the different ornaments feels nostalgic.8/10 please consider stopping by.

Stopped over for lunch. Very pleasant owner. My wife decided on lamb curry and I opted for the lamb bunnychow. Really delicious. Home made bread and pickles. You get a tasting tray of all the lovely jams and pickles to taste before you buy. A definite stop for breakfast or lunch. Highly recommended.

Had an amazing lunch here. The ambiance was fantastic, the manager was welcoming and the food was divine! The little shop is stocked with jams, preserves and sweets. The dogs were gorgeous and well mannered. The only suggestion I have is to please have more for vegetarian and vegan customers! I will definitely be back.
