Virgin Active Gym Sun Valley

The manager cant do his job. I have been trying to upgrade my membership for months now and no matter what I do whether its going into the gym with my ID or phoning the head offices he keeps on making excuses that the system is slow or down. The gym is a really nice gym, staff are overall pretty okay but you need to learn how to do you job! Nevermind cancelling your membership...

Debit orders is a nightmare!!!! They debit your acount when ever it is convenient for them! Nervermind that you stipulated your debit order date, horrible service struggling for months to get this sorted! Not worth it joining they just minus your bank account and you get a bad credit score for not paying. HORRIBLE!!!

Terrible joining experience that's still nor resolved. The agents are all very friendly and eager to sign you up butas soon as there's an issue then you don't hear from them again. Signed up end of November with a Vitality membership for me and my son. A week later I got charged R700 instead of the discounted vitality amount. I contacted the agent she told me she would forward Info on but she's on leave... I Contacted the call centre the agent said he would escalate and I'd be refunded and he would personally call back later and he didn't. Phoned the club asked them to ask someone to call me. Lunch time comes and still no one has called me so I call again and speak to the sales manager who was apologetic and asked me to come in and re sign the contracts as it must have been a system glitch he said so I went after work that night back to the gym to sign more contracts. Then Monday came and no call back so I went to the gym again to speak to the admin lady to try solve it. Then today I got charged another amount of R145. I've just been told to wait. The sales manager is also on leave now. My original sales agent who has not responded again to my questions has really left a bad view of the club. Even though she is on leave she did the deal and if there is an issue should check on that customers process to see if its resolved. Just stating I'm on leave " when there's clearly been a mess up shows me that the agent was just interested in the sale and not me as a person or customer. I still have not received a refund. My membership shows deactivated. And even though I have vitality I'm down R845 after a week or so of joining. I do not get follow up calls to say what is happening and I've gone into the club to speak to them about 4 times about this. I expected more from Virgin Active. You cannot stand behind the brand and the club alone the customer service has to be on par with that and this time was a huge disappointment. Issue STILL not resolved."

Way too crowded even during off peak timings. The salesperson convinced me to sign up to a direct debit against my better judgment, and sure enough, as soon as I canceled my membership the direct debits are still coming out of my account. Avoid at all costs and do not sign any direct debit orders with this company.

On the whole, I like this gym. The staff is friendly, and the gym is good. If you want to get fit, this is the place to be. Sunrises can make the treadmill a great choice.

I love gym. I love coming here... Just be ware of the teenagers. They leave their belongings on a machine and hog machines,play around and some of them aren't here to work out... Shame to be young and...But I do love coming to this gym.The staff is soooo friendly and helpful. They make the gym experience great.

What an impeccable service. Brent at the front deck was very helpful and full of positive energy. The cafe has amazing breakfasts and protein smoothies. The gym is well equipped and has a great pool too. Strongly recommend.

Great gym not too busy albeit active with people. Good range of equipment and Personal trainers if required.

Very upset with how the team/manager informs the clients about the gym being closed because of the generators not working.In the past we used to receive an sms in the morning to say that the gym will be closed from a certain time because the generators are out of order. Now people don’t get any information as to what is going on, and drive all the way to the gym and waste petrol, to get there and they closed.Very unprofessional. Waste of time.

Enjoyable gym facilities with stunning views of the mountains and surrounds.The staff are super friendly and helpful - Special mention of Tania Amien (Consultant) who signed me up and remote signed up my son in another province! As well as being a super duper Zin Zumba instructor at this gym!
