IMM Graduate School

I had a great time studying BAPhil in Marketing Management and I learnt a lot at IMM. This course helped me think and see things differently. I have managed to come up with strategies that can generate millions, but getting an investor is another story especially in such an economy. I would like to come back again for my Masters. My only issue is my work schedule which is pretty tight. I would like to say to IMM, I appriciate to have attended your school, I am now a whole new person. Thank you. Asuya Pemba

Maxine at the Durban Campus is a super star! She always goes an extra mile for students. Maria Modise from the Johannesburg Campus was very helpful, when I recently had an issue on my student portal. Well done IMM!

I will not recommend this school for long distance learning. Their support structures for students to actually do well are not adequate. They also don’t offer classes for all their modules, it’s only selected modules. I feel they are more concerned with money than actually helping their students, it’s also extremely difficult to speak to faculty lectures if you’re having a problem.I actually also feel they sometimes intentionally fail you so you can keep coming back to re-write. They structure some of their exams in such difficult manner, making it difficult to pass.

I would not recommend IMM GSM!Truly disappointed with my experience here over the past 5 years.1. I’ve wasted more than R100 000 on a qualification. I was 1 subject away from graduating and they refused to let me rewrite the exam when I was Sick and did not let me graduate because they “discontinued the program”.2. IMM GSM online assessment site does not work during exams, it freezes and they don’t pick up the phones either. If you inform them of this they expect you to go find and pay an IT company to prove their site doesn’t work regardless of sending photos and video evidence. They make you pay for their incompetence and never acknowledge their flaws.3. In the past 5 years not once have they accepted me to rewrite a supplementary exam. They constantly declined me this opportunity and my constitutional rights to an education even when I was sick.4. Their academic department heads do not respond on time & your lucky if they respond at all.5. Disgustingly Incompetent in customer service and love shifting blame onto students instead of finding solutions as they are completely money driven.7. IMM GSM DOES NOT CARE about their students/ clients progress or helping them achieve their academic goals.Better to study at a government institution/ university/college or a REAL private college where there are lecturers and professors who can teach you the content of the subjects and support students to understand. Do not waste your money or time here and get scammed like I did.Biggest regret is wasting years of my time and money with IMM GSM. They have no shame.

I tested the waters with IMM by doing short courses through their institution. The short course team is incredible. I dealt with Christa and she was thoroughly helpful.Then I started the Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management with them. Instant regret. I registered late because of pressure from the sales person to register this semester, only to realise their support team is 100% not accommodating. You literally get no support. And as someone that studied my undergrad at another distance learning institution UNISA, I definitely expected this to be at least at the same level given it costs so much more. Their online system is also way worse than unisa, and for this they also shift blame on students for.As a working professional, this unfortunately feels like a complete waste of my hard earned money.Really disappointed as the short courses gave me a completely different impression of this institution but now I'm just waiting for the semester to end so that I can hopefully transfer my credits to another university and complete my post graduate qualification.

Friendly staff and helpful

I decided to register with IMM, and got help from Mdu Shabalala, I received good solid advise and all information and documents were forwarded to me in a time fashion. Mdu was very cheerful and always had a smile, made you feel very welcomed. Other staff I dealt with was always eager to help aswel if Mdu was unavailable. over all good service, keep it up.

Today I want to share with the whole world how incredibly awesome IMM has been and is especially during this lock down.Since the day I inquired about studying through them a very helpful lady named Chriselda has taken my hand and assisted where ever and when ever I would need.Literally she phoned me to see how my studies are going in my 1st semester.... Who does that.I can tell you my degree was done through another institution and never did anyone from there reach out to me! In fact I made appointments to meet with professors who never even pitched up.During this lock down IMM has been at the forefront of online support and making it possible to finish my Honours degree online this semester.The course has been extremely interesting and my tutors has gone the extra mile to open up a new world of possibilities. Each student has access to one on one communication groups with their lecturers.I would definitely 100 times over choose IMM again and again. It has been an incredible honor to be part of this institution.If you still not sure where to study- IMM GRADUATE SCHOOL OF MARKETINGRemember you are investing in your future! Make the right choice!

I am currently doing a bcom through IMM as a distance learner. We do not get back our marked exams papers to see what we have understood or not. This is quite shocking as how is a learner meant to more forward confidently. You have to pay R450 to just get your paper back.Quite disappointing.
