Absolute Polo

Visited Brett Watson and Absolute Polo in September 2017. Everything organized by Brett and team. Lovely farm accommodation and full catering. You are welcomed into the family. On the polo front I was new to polo but able to ride. By the first afternoon I was playing Chukkers with the locals with continual tips from Brett. Awesome intro to the sport in stunning scenery. For an extra go up Sani Pass by 4x4 into Lesotho and Africa's highest pub.

Best polo holiday ever.Training/coaching is excellent. It is completely adapted to meet individual needs. Ponies and people are fantastic. I'm particularly fussy about ponies and they were all lovely and safe.Breathtaking location to add the chetty on top.

We came as a family to feed my polo addiction…The lessons were amazing and Brett took the whole family and put us through our paces. We all gained so much from his lessons and it has become a family addiction now (eeeeek)!The community around the academy is truly welcoming and a they really did make us feel as part of the team, particularly with the afternoon chukkas after the lessons.When off the field we stayed in a wonderful cottage, very comfortable and amazing food.We loved it so much we have already booked our next trip.Thank you Brett, Nita and all members of the Absolute Polo Academy.

A fantastic experience from start to finish - wish we could have stayed longer!Accommodation - beautiful double room with en-suite. The most stunning views right outside, and very peaceful.Food - every meal was delicious! They accommodated my challenging dietary requirements and bent over backwards to be helpful in any way they could.Polo - expert tuition which was delivered in clear and consistent way which meant we improved hugely in a relatively short space of time. Not only did my playing improve but my understanding of the tactics of the game improved through GoPro and video analysis which I was able to implement during chukkas the following day.Ponies - beautifully looked after in an unbeatably beautiful setting.A 5* experience from start to finish, and I couldn’t recommend the Absolute Polo more highly. We will be returning without doubt.

Absolute Polo is the place to go if you want to improve your polo game, or if you want an incredibly relaxing polo holiday in a tranquil setting. Brett Watson is a brilliant coach and his way of putting across his understanding of the game is second to none.The area is incredibly beautiful, looking up towards the Drakensberg mountains. Brett, his family and his staff do a great job of looking after you and making you feel at home. I went at the beginning of 2017, loved it so much I went back 2 months later and will definitely be going again!

My daughter and I have just returned to the US after spending a splendid week at Absolute Polo. We are equestrians but had never attempted polo. Were playing Chukkas by afternoon of first day. Horses are first rate. Brett is a gifted coach and simply a wonderful individual. His lovely and fun wife Nita welcomed us as did their family and friends. Food, accommodation and scenery are first rate. Our Sani Pass drive into Lesotho was other worldly. All told, one of the most memorable experiences ever. We feel we have made new friends at Absolute Polo. You will too.

I first went to Absolute Polo in 2013 and immediately fell in love with the setting, the quality of the horses, and the set up. Brett Watson is a first class coach, and the whole experience couldn't be both better for polo development, general holiday or all-round fun! I have been to other polo clubs in both Argentina and South Africa and can say that Absolute Polo is by far the best (in value for money, quality, setting, atmosphere and friendliness). You make friends there.I keep going back once or twice a year as a result! Believe me, try it and you certainly won't regret it!

In addition, the guesthouse accommodation situated on the dairy farm is in full view of the Drakensberg mountains, with Nita Watson providing delicious meals during the stay. A highly recommended experience and we'll be sure to return!

Just returned to Los Angeles after an amazing and intense week at Absolute Polo. It was fun, challenging, interesting, comfortable, great value. If you go you can't fail to massively improve your polo. Bottom line: I'll be going back, as soon as possible.
