Mount Everest Guest Farm is a 1000 hectare, working farm and game sanctuary. 21km outside of Harrismith. Mount Everest offers peace and tranquility in nature. Also a great half way point between Johannesburg, Bloemfontein and Durban.
  • Wheelchair-accessible car park

We had the most wonderful weekend getaway at Mount Everest! This picturesque and peaceful haven has plenty of open land to explore with a lovely variety of buck and birds!! The host is incredibly accommodating and made us feel right at home. This newly acquired property is undergoing some upgrades and we will certainly be back to visit again soon! :)

Thank you Maci for your kind consideration every step of our trip to your place. You were like family, checking up on us before we even left our home, keeping us informed of the roads, one's to avoid, caring about our safety and well being, making sure we bring enough food, our check-in, place being clean and ready and soooo much more. Thank you again. We appreciate everything. You were amazing. We highly recommend Mount Everest Guest & Game farm for seclusion, clean, peaceful, quiet, relaxation and nature at its best. Enjoyed hiking and long walks where game roamed freely. We had immediate responses to any questions and hands on.No complaints, not even the weather. Chilly afternoons but we were asked to bring warm clothes.Thank you too Kobus for your assistance, the wifi password and checking if we were having a good time.Perfect halfway stopover to Durban.

A really lovely getaway with access to some amazing climbing. The chalet we sayed was also very comfortable and peaceful (Witkruisarend). I definately recommend this place if you're looking to get a little serenity back in your life.

Often you get what you pay for, sometimes though, you get more than you expected! That was my experience of Mount Everest game farm.We needed a quick weekend get away from the city and some peace.Kobus was amazing from the start, he was in constant communication (even though my e-mail server sent some of his msg's to junk) he would WhatsApp and keep us updated. When we arrived there was no power due to load shedding but there were battery operated lights in the house for us to use.On the Saturday there were some climbers that climbed behind the house, they were quite and were really cool to watch as they did a multi pitch climb. The house was clean and super quiet, just what we wanted. the service was great too.If you are looking for a get away in the mountains then this is perfect, if you want the city and an amusement park then not really a place that you will enjoy. We will definitely be back for more peace and quite and time in the mountains.
