Sandcastle Luxury Villa

WOW. Words cannot do this home justice. Untouched beachfront, access to two pools, animals grazing outside the bedroom window... Fantastic property manager took us on game drives and were on-hand to share local tips and information. We splurged and booked a chef to cater our meals for the duration of our stay - SO worth it. 100% worth every cent.

Wow, what an amazing place. This truly is such a special getaway destination. Architecturally beautiful, with a view to match. Enjoy a private beach, cruising the property on quad bikes and lots of g&t’s. You will be hard pressed to replicate this experience anywhere else in South Africa.

Our family & friends cannot recommend Sandcastle highly enough. Gail and Cara made our stay phenomenal! If you’re looking for a relaxing break, definitely consider Sandcastle! We highly recommend hiring their Chef, all the meals were out of this world and it just made our stay that much more relaxing! The house was impeccable and the views are unmatched. Thank you for everything you ladies did to make our stay a memorable one!

I visited Sandcastle with a group of friends in March. You won’t find a more perfect or naturally beautiful spot to spend a holiday or weekend away! Every corner of the home and farm is breathtaking - there are views and spots to explore or relax wherever you go. We spent hours lounging at the pools, but also got active with beach walks/swims, hikes, and sports games. The Sandcastle staff add an extra element of relaxation to the trip - they are friendly, helpful, and keep the house spotless. I would recommend adding their chef to your stay, and going for sundowner drives at the lookout point. These were two highlights of the trip for us. Thank you Sandcastle team, we can’t wait to be back!

Wow - what an incredible place this is, words can't describe it.A incredible villa, a private beach, game all around in a secluded landscape. We were two families with four kids and everybody loved in.In addition the hosts were incredible - so friendly and looking after us to ensure everything was just right. Great communications from Cara and incredible hosting from Gail.Top notch.

Spent a few days here last week and it was absolutely fantastic to be in a place with such magnificent views and to be able to walk around without having to worry about Covid. We had an excellent time.

Friends and I visited the Sandcastle from the United Kingdom and it was truly one of the most relaxing, tranquil and luxurious places I have been to date. It offers breathe taking views, a private beach and lots of open space to hike, swim and enjoy their African Wildlife.We visited during the middle of March and had incredible weather. The beauty of the villa is that when you arrive, you have everything there, so there is never any need to leave. Each bedroom has a sea facing view with an ensuite bathroom. The villa offers a library and plenty of quiet spots to put your feet up and read a book or catch up on your favourite series. A special mention needs to be made to Gale, the villa manager who was always available making sure our stay was perfect and giving us the full tour.When looking at which package to chose from, I would highly advise selecting the private chef : Khany1 Ngoza. As the residence chef he knows his way around the kitchen! He was always friendly and helpful and his food was always beautifully plated and delicious. During our stay we had a variety of meals from morning musli, burgers, cheeseboards, bbq's and simple salads- all accompanied by some of the best South African Wine (again I would advise selecting a wine package).Best value for money in terms of location, activities, staff (ensuring your rooms are cleaned each day/washing and resort manager), food &wine -this is one of the best Villas ever. The owner Cara kept us informed with activities, travel options and gave some good recommendations-thank you!

Sandcastle is the ideal beach holiday destination! Stunning surroundings with a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean, luxurious accommodation and super-friendly and accommodating staff that make sure you feel right at home. A group of friends and I had the pleasure of the entire Villa to ourselves for a few days - we had the option to sunbathe and relax by the outdoor infinity pool with gorgeous views of the private beach and ocean, as well as a solar-heated pool when the sun goes down. In the evenings, there is access to multiple entertainment areas and, of course, a fully-equipped kitchen & scullery. I must say that the option of the private chef was a highlight for us - we were treated to beautifully prepared and presented meals & snacks throughout the day that really made it a holiday to remember. The beach is 5 min walk or quad bike ride to beautiful expanse of pristine beach - ideal for early morning walks, picnics or sundowners. There is also plenty of game and wildlife right on your doorstep; we managed to see giraffe, eland and more, roaming the grounds during our stay. I would definitely recommend Sandcastle villa to anyone looking for a holiday that strikes the perfect balance between luxuriousness and homely comfort that makes for beautiful memories shared with friends and family.

I stayed at Sandcastle for the first time in July 2020, and couldn’t resist a return visit in Feb 2021. Beautiful bush, lovely trails around the farm, a pristine beach at the end of a stunning river mouth - Sandcastle is a really special place. Very clean with huge rooms and luxurious bathrooms that overlook the sea. Note the closest Woolies is in Port Alfred - 50 min drive - so plan your shops well (there is a walk in fridge so can easily stock up for the week).
